Oh I know that's the least of the problems on here but I did retain 50% on his contract just to give cap space while taking Ceci to make it work for cap and you know he has to be more of a presence and less of a risk than Ceci for almost half the price and more motivated to help T.O. get it done

Now find a goalie
Dubas paid how much to get rid of Patty? You get a RD that is the same performer as Ceci for corsi and points and that's on a team that is not producing and wont get delay of game penalties for clearing it over the glass. Is a better motivator for the dressing room than Ceci and Johnsson has no place in the lineup so it is Toronto paying to have over $3M to get a backup goalie and have flexibility in the lineup while getting rid of a player that is overpaid on D and the only way Detroit gets the picks is to go further into the playoffs then they have and if they do that with Green not Ceci and a new backup goalie then I think that would prove the trade was worth it

what?
I would have brought up Svech but I think it may be a year too soon I would like to see him play in a Wings jersey but I don't want to rush him in with a bunch of bad line mates and destroy his confidence

They want to clear cap space and get a R shot d man if we do a straight trade they gain 0 cap space and the trade doesn't happen, out of errorson kronwall and green he is the easiest to move and with only 1 yr left $2m is an easy retention to get a more valuable trade in eberle
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Larkinisking</b></div><div>And no thanks on trouble make Evander Kane for Jordan Eberle want no part of Kane.</div></div>
Kane is a really skilled player and yes he has caused trouble for his previous teams but even a$$hats like him know that when you want to get a new high paying contract you have to perform well on and off the ice and being its his final year on this contract he has to be perfect on and off the ice to continue his career and if he doesn't work out ship him off for a draft pick to Vancouver so he can play near home for his final year in NHL

“I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t listen and see if it (trade) is worth it, but it’s hard to find good defencemen,” said Benning. “Especially defencemen who are mobile and move the puck. I’m not shopping Taney"
“Unless it would make sense for our future, I’m not trading Chris. He means so much to our team."
He's not shopping him but will take offers and if you would rather give up the 1st rd pick with the other late rounder you will have to do the 2 second rd picks besides that i have two 2nd rd picks going out in 2018 but Det gets 2 more 3rd rd and 2 more 6th rd which can be moved for earlier rd picks later (trade deadline or draft)

Feedback please
With the NMC/NTC on some of the older players it makes it more difficult as well as the current status of the goalie market I don't believe there is a way to get anything respectable for Howard. We also saw this year that JC is not any better than a mediocre NHL backup goalie and i don't expect anything other than a very short term solution for that position if howard gets traded. I also left green in the lineup to help DDK learn some more from him before we ship green off if needed at the trade deadline as a fill in d man for some other team for some draft choices. Gudbranson needs to get back to form after his surgery and putting him lower and showing him there is room to advance in the lines should push him back into his form. Placing Hank on the #2 line with "the younguns" helps them grow and takes the pressure off Hank to do the hard backskates that the speedy youngsters can and will cover for him so we aren't loosing a good leader because he was over worked, he said himself he cannot keep up playing 1st line centre anymore and we shouldn't push him too his role should be smart play making teacher to the young guys.
