Sure, we have plenty of LHD but our right side is just Makar and EJ (assuming EJ is even ready to start the year). Timmins will likely start in the AHL since he missed so much time. If EJ misses some time at the beginning of the year we only have Makar on the right side. Deangelo would be great to take the pressure off of makar at first and would also take the load off of EJ as he declines in the coming years</div></div>
Thank you for making some sense lol...

He was considered part of the NHL team in that regard.
Remember when I said he would have to Dethrone Timmins....are you understanding that now?</div></div>
I’m not arguing Timmins is the love child of the Avs FO. I’m arguing ADA is objectively a better player at this time. That’s really all I’m saying...

He isnt going to push Makar or EJ out of the Top 4, and would have to dethrone Timmins who the Org is beyond high on as the teams 3rd RHS Dman on the depth chart</div></div>
Timmins hasn’t played an NHL game and coming off an injury so there’s absolutely no reason to put him above ADA. Obviously Makar is above him as well as EK. But he is a 2nd pairing defenseman on most if not all other teams. I really wouldn’t trade him but value for value this is a more then fair trade...

Points are usually indicative of a young players predictive success. He, if he is such a great prospect and would never be included in a trade for Kreider AND Deangelo because he’s so damn good, should be able to score better then a .4 pace in an amateur league.

3rd pairing defenseman? Let me guess you just looked at his stat line form last season, don’t understand who he is as a player, don’t understand the limited playing time he was given, or how he was the Rangers best 5v5 defenseman.

Getting a 2C
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Henrique might have peaked at age 29. I don't see him as a good 2C now and not for five years. Don' see Avs or or any team and giving up so much Kreider. That's a long extension for any 28 year old.
Of course extension like so rarely happen. So the Rangers tell Kreider he isn't wanted, go make a deal with the Avs and all the complications with that.</div></div>
I mean Henrique is putting up great numbers for a 2C and is a good two way player. Ideally you hope he keeps that up for three more years, then one of Andersson or Chytil is 23 or so and is matching if not exceeding his production as 2C. He then is a great option for 3C and with the cap increase by then it’ll probably be near market value...

How many times to I have to tell you Staal has an NMC. There’s no team you can trade him to unless he waives. Shatty has 21 teams that we can trade him to and he has no say in it. So yes the first step to trade Staal is to ask him to waive whereas there’s plenty of teams to make a deal with that you don’t need Shatty’s consent for. We’re beating a dead horse here...

I don’t think so. Again they don’t have enough defenseman, they have a ton of cap space, and they’re rebuilding they’ll want the assets. And taking Eaves back even minimizes the cap gain this year.

True, but there are a couple of teams who have cap and could use another forward, namely MTL, COL, CBJ etc...

Yes and no. It’s tight for this year and next. But nearly all their bad/expensive contracts come off the books when there key young players come over there ELCs (nearly 25 mil just between Hank/Shatty/Smith/Staal). If they can pinch pennies the next two seasons they’ll be fine. Might not be able to keep Kreider though which sucks...
