Tough to argue this.
Would be good to get guys a game or two coming down the stretch in case they are needed for playoffs.

I do think it could make them a better team. Also just playing with rumors of potential trade options for the Oil. I am good to trade the 1st rounder for an NHL player.

I do agree, I am a big Oil fan, but JP struggles with the puck, Defense do not give him any outlet or breakout passes and 97/29 do not pass him the puck when a line together.
I have all the time for JP, but thought this trade could benefit both teams.

I have little concept of player value or what a contract will be, but maybe around 3M per year? 2-3 years.

I think finding the right price point for Larsson with be tough. He has played really good in the second half of games this season, but before that and last season, he has not been at his best. I don' think he would sign for anything less than 3.5.

Using Turris was not the point of the trade. More of just wanting Gagner back for a playoff push.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sensibleguy</b></div><div>You have to pay assets to get rid of Russell, not ask for assets</div></div>
Enough with paying assets for players with higher contracts. It is needed sometimes, but players still hold value.
Russell at 1 year filling a roster spot so a prospect can play appropriate minutes in a different league is worth a low draft pick.

Lets be honest, the 4th has little to no value in this deal. In reality what you're saying is that for Boston to move up from the 2nd round to the 1st round it would cost DeBrusk...that's just not realistic.</div></div>
Good point.

Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bringer_Of_Snow</b></div><div>Im not sure what you mean? Like they are for sure going to look to move one or even two of 9, 17 and 37. Not sure what you mean by "would it really matter what the return would be?". Like I think obviously they want to get the absolute best return for their guys. Players like Johnson, Killorn and Gourde are all great players still, and I don't think a late 1st rounder (in terms of value) is a stretch at all for players like this. Whoever the move, All they would want would be picks, prospects, or super cheap roster players. The whole idea of moving these guys is to fit Cirelli and Sergachev's new contracts in.</div></div>
Thanks for the response: "The whole idea of moving these guys is to fit Cirelli and Sergachev's new contracts in". Would teams low ball offers for the 3 players knowing Tampa has to trade one?
