So basically, Sign Dufour to an ELC, trade away Varly for a goaltender + draft picks, sign a major free agent in the off season, bring Raty up to the NHL and train him as a winger along with being a centre. I'd also agree with the fact that we should trade away Bailey. As much as he has been through the past decade, even more than that, I think his time is up on the Island.

this season is over. I would love to see Lou actually allow for young players to grow this season and next but it will not happen. We all know that he is going to be silent this deadline, then only make one small move in the offseason and act like we are fine. I agree with you on Dufour tho. I loved the pick then and I love it even more now. Him+Raty+Wahly has insane potential but we wont get to that point unless we seriously suck like for the next month. Otherwise we will be .500 and pretend we have a shot at the playoffs

But, Bellows playing 9% of his total time with 2 other players isnt a flex lol. Thats about 1 minute a night for him. Which is nothing. thats all i have said. You have yet to address that point.

And my point is that evolving hockey has Pettersson's SPAR value at around 3 mil and Mayfield is at 4. The Athletic has an even higher difference. 4 mil is an overpay for him and teams will not pay a first for that. They just wont.

I was never even preaching Bellows is a stud. All I was saying that a first + a former 1st rounder and a former 2nd rounder is an overpay for someone getting overpaid and has term.

Bolduc is a big, strong defensive defenseman who excels in his own end and is strong. Hes not very valuable but he is a future NHLer

Bellows is on a 37 point pace with 11 minutes a night on a defensively minded forward group and he plays with defensively minded players. He has almost always been centered by JG Pageau who isnt a goal scorer with us

And your point about Bolduc can easily be translated to Pettersson. He is only on a 22 point pace! Thats worth nothing!

Pettersson is NOT worth a mid 1st rounder, future 50-60 point player and a solid bottom pairing guy. He isnt. And even if Bellows and Bolduc went away, a first is still an overpay.

Ive used points (which isnt very good) and two different website's value calculations and they both prove my point. Youve only said that Bellows has played 9.2% on a line. Which helped my point...
