You aren't wrong. He took 25% (~200 FO's) of his total season's FO's after he joined TB, so he definitely was used on the wing more. But that has more to do with the depth at center in TB, rather than how good Miller is at that position. He clicked with Stamkos, and you aren't going to move Stammer to the Wing, and since Miller is versatile and can play any forward position, he mostly plays the wing there. Even on the second line, Johnson and Point are both very solid 2C options. At this point, I would say TB's need for LW is greater than C, and that looks to be the case for a while (with Point being young and under team control, and Johnson on a good, long term deal.
~Short Version~
TB has great center depth, and they need Miller to play LW either on the first or second line. Miller however, when he did take FO's, was successful (both in NY and TB).

Miller can play center. Last season he took 805 FO's, winning 437 of them (54.3% FO Percentage). Those are good numbers for a center.

TB just signed Miller, and they wouldn't trade him right after, that gives Yzerman a bad look, and may make it harder for him to sign players to team friendly deals. Also, TB can't trade their 2019 1st Round Pick, as if they win the cup this coming season, the conditional 2019 2nd they gave to NYR becomes a 2019 1st.
In terms of just looking at the trade value, it looks okay. WPG gets a #2 center who can also fill in on the wing (or anywhere in the top six for that matter). They get Dotchin who should play bottom pair minutes in WPG and potentially grow from there. They also get a first round pick which will likely be in the 25-31 overall range. TB gets a very solid, young RD in Trouba, who I would imagine love playing in Tampa Bay. I woudn't say TB needs Trouba, but he would be a great addition to their blue line (likely meaning Stralman is on his way out after the season, unless they play him on the bottom pair.
TB defence would likely be:
Hedman-Trouba
McDonagh-Sergachev
Koekkoek-Stralman - then Foote when he is ready
As Nick said i think TB is overpaying by a little bit, but I think this is close to getting a deal done (but again, this proposal isn't actually possible).

Rebuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>steveospeak</b></div><div>I absolutely think that Ottawa should go into full rebuild mode and should definitely trade away their impending FAs and maybe even some controllable guys as well. That being said I don't totally understand your deals:
1. Karlsson trade- I get that Heiskanan is one of the top prospects in the NHL and just 19 years old, but this seems like the weakest return of the 3 impending FAs. While Heiskanan is a top prospect, there is also the most uncertainty with him as well, as he's yet to play in the NHL. With Faksa as the only other piece this feels kind of like a soft deal, especially compared to the other impending FAs who I think have less value on the trade market (if we are assuming they are all signing extensions).
2. Duchene trade- Duchene is a good center and an upgrade over Wennberg, but adding in both Milano and a 1st seems like too much. Sure an extension is part of the deal, but the Blue Jackets are giving up quite a bit for a guy who would be set to be a FA otherwise. Wennberg's contract may be a bit underwater, but he's shown promise and is still pretty young and Milano could have a very bright future at a cheap price. Add in the first and this looks like a lot for CBJ to give up, esp. since it probably hurts their postseason hopes this season not helps them (and going forward).
3. Stone & Ryan trade- Even ignoring Ryan's negative value for a minute, giving up Tuch, Miller and a 1st for Stone is quite a bit. Sure Stone is a really good winger and he should be an effective scorer for years to come, but he's also going to get paid big time. He might be looking at an $8-9.5M a year salary range (probably would take the high end to get him to forego UFA) for 7 or 8 years. Vegas would be giving up 4 years of Miller on a pretty favorable deal and 5 or 6 years of Tuch's team control, the first few of which will be cheap. That just doesn't really make sense and again would look to hurt Vegas' playoff hopes. On top of that they have to take on the terrible Bobby Ryan contract.
4. Ceci trade- This I don't get at all, Ceci is a good defenseman with two years of team control remaining and you trade him for 1 year of Brock Nelson. Unless you meant to extend Nelson long term I don't get it. The Senators will be bad this year so Nelson would be a waste.</div></div>
Everything you wrote is spot on, well said.

While some things in this may be debatable, such as the $$ amounts for extensions or trade returns, this was very well done. You did a great job analyzing the Leafs current roster, as well as what players should project to be. Good depth as well, with lots of reasoning behind every decision. Good job.

Solid deals, you have good reasoning for the moves you made. A couple things though, I think it is a bit too much money for Nylander, but it might take that to lock him up for that long. The Leafs would be better off with a shorter deal, say four years, with a smaller cap hit. Also, the Leafs are already thin on defense, and while trading Gardiner could be an option, we dont exactly have a deep blue line to take a blow like that. I think if the leafs were to trade him, they would either acquire a different top 4 D from somewhere else, or as part of the return (ie. Gardiner for Myers). I think Dermott is ready for top 4 time as well, but I would rather reduce Hainsey's minutes, bump up Zaitsev, then have Gardiner play on the right with Dermott. That's if they decide to have Dermott in the top 4, but I see him being on the 3rd pair. The trade you have with PHI may be a bit of an overpayment, but not by a lot. Other than that, it looks good.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Erne, but I haven't watched him enough to let him walk yet.</div></div>
A trade I had in mind (and one I have been doing in my mock rosters), is Callahan to the Rangers. He was their former captain, solid two way player, can contribute offensively, good leadership guy for the younger players, and the Rangers have the cap space (and are a big market team, meaning they have no problem spending to the cap). Why not if you are the NYR, get picks and prospect(s?) while using your cap space.

Panarin CBJ Side + PLS Comment
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jacketsman61</b></div><div>Sorry this is not very fair to Tampa and it really leaves Tampa in a bad way defensively.</div></div>
There are other reasons why that trade wouldn't go through (see my post on the TB side), however, TB wouldn;t be in awful shape defensively. Sergachev is a LD, who is more than likely ready for a top 4 role (playing with a veteran). Plus with Cal Foote in the pipeline and Koekkoek and Dotchin about ready for top 6 roles, TB would probably be okay. Would they be worse defensively? Absolutely, but Sergachev will likely be better than McDonagh in the long run (which could happen soon), and they got other young guys ready to make the roster as well.
TB D-Core without McDonagh:
Hedman - Stralman
Sergachev - Girardi
Coburn - Dotchin
Koekkoek
Foote (depends on development this summer)
That D is still better than most teams in the league (maybe not CBJ if this trade was to go through :) )

Panarin TB Side + PLS Comment
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawks34</b></div><div>Value is close, but if columbus feels like panarin would extend there, they wouldn't retain at all.</div></div>
I would agree with you on that, especially considering TB can afford to have his full cap hit (and still have roughly 3M to work with, which is a healthy amount for Yzerman.
As for this mock roster:
That top line is absolutely filthy, probably the best in hockey, but I think it creates cap complications when working on extensions for Point, Gourde, Vasy, Sergachev, etc. (if you plan to extend Panarin that is). You could move other money out, but I feel lim TB's core plays so well together that they may not want to break it up (unless it's Johnson, who seems to be the only one they may part ways with).
As for your trade proposal:
I think this is a solid start to what it would take to bring Panarin to TB, but it doesn't make sense from CBJ's perspective. They do not need D, especially on the left (Werenski, Murray), and it wouldn;t make sense for them to deal their top asset and get a left D as one of the biggest pieces of value in return. Miller makes sense, he can play any position, a top 6 forward, solid game. The pick is probably about right, but I think it could also become a 1st if Panarin gets 30 goals or 70 pts. Swap out McDonagh for possibly Gourde or another strong forward piece and it could go through.
Another aspect to this proposal:
Signing players and trading them right away does not give you a good rep as a GM, and may make it harder for Yzerman to sign UFA's to team friendly deals in the future, or bridge extensions with his RFA's. It's an all around bad move, and seeing as how he just extended both Miller and McDonagh, I don't see that happening. Maybe at the end of this next season Yzerman decides he wants to trade Miller (before NTC kicks in), which wouldn;t be the worst thing to do, but I can't see him doing that either before or during the 2018-2019 season.

The Future Bolts?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>VASYVASYVASY</b></div><div>I agree w/ your thoughts on Gourde, and for Vasilevskiy in terms of AAV, but I think Yzerman will want to lock him up as long as possible (although 6 years would work too). For Cirelli, I think he'll get $1m-$2m AAV for a year or two depnding on his output this season. If Foote and Raddysh aren't used in a trade (for Karlsson), then I see them making the NHL in the next year or two. I didn't know exactly which prospects to put on the NHL roster, but I think Foote will soon. I also think the 4th-line Center position should be filled by a prospect next year after Paquette's contract expires. The reasoning for my pairings on defense are because Cooper likes to put an experienced player (Hedman, McDonagh, Stralman) w/ a young player (just like Hedman + Dotchin in the past year). I don't think Cooper will put Koekkoek and a Sergachev or Foote together because of that. Flip Foote and Sergachev around and that works too, and if Cooper is willing to pair two young defenseman, then McDonagh + Stralman can be the shutdown pair while playing Foote or Sergachev w/ Hedman helps their development. The Stralman signing was just to bring back a solid veteran that is well-liked and does his job well (AAV could be a little more than $3m). I figured Dotchin could play that 7th defenseman role on a cheap contract. If Sergachev isn't traded and continues to develop, I'll be interested to see what his bridge deal will be (probably somehwere between $3m-$5m). I didn't realize the Gourde situation at first, but I would probably just trade Callahan this offseason or the next w/ a pick(s) and a prospect for a pick. I would try to trade him and not buy him out because that will further stress the cap situation for a few more years as you stated.
Thanks for the feedback! :)</div></div>
I did not know that Cooper typically does that, so that is definitely interesting. In that case, a veteran signing for the third pair definite makes sense (like Stralman), but I would have to imagine Dotchin would be ready for at least a top 6 role at that point. That being said, too much depth at D is a good problem to have, and since there is space, why not bring back Stralman.
The only trouble with the Callahan contract is that he has a 16 team trade list that he submits. Those teams are likely to be contenders, meaning they have little cap space, and the space they do have they would want to use wisely, meaning a trade to shed salary could be more difficult than it appears at first glance. Another option is Killorn, but he has a full NTC, making it even harder. Yzerman will be able to do it, he is one of if not the best GM's in hockey, but he will definitely have his work cut out for him when he extends Gourde, Point, Vasy, Sergachev, and try to keep this team together.
Also, just another minor note, you have left Adam Erne out of this roster, I would imagine he would at the least have a depth role, or be involved in some kind of trade (Callahan perhaps?). Not that big of a deal, just something I thought I would let you know about.

Jeff Gorton
First Trade:
Why would Toronto do that trade? They need defense, and the only way Nylander gets moved, is if a very solid, NHL D-man is coming back. The Leafs could care less about the picks, they are looking to build their current roster with young players and veterans, and there wouldn't be a point to stockpiling picks (in a Nylander trade that is, maybe with some smaller moves like Leivo or Sparks). Even if the Leafs were looking for picks as the return, I don't think what you have there is enough. I will level with you for a second, and pretend the Leafs wanted picks. The Rangers 1st rounder in 2020 doesn't have a lot of value for the Leafs. The Rangers should be much better by then, likely middle of the pack or wild-card, and that means it would be that much longer until the return for Nylander (in this pick) would be ready (as it likely wouldn't be a stud). The TB 2nd (which can become 1st if TB wins cup), will either be a 31st or 55th-62nd pick, so not a lot of value, and the Rangers 3rd. That trade proposal simply isn't anywhere near what it would take to actually go through.
Second Trade:
I don't believe TB can trade their 2019 1st round pick, as the 2nd rounder they gave to NYR (irony), can become a 1st if TB wins the cup this season. I know that it is the same team, but i am not sure if you can do that either way. I will pretend that you can (since I don't really know), and move on with this trade. I think TB wins this trade (which shouldn't really happen considering they are dumping the salary). TB gives up Callahan and Palat, and get back Zuccarello (who isn't a massive downgrade over Palat - despite being a rental), and Vesey, who is a solid young player (who I don't think the Rangers would give up. The trade like that, two for two, is definitely in TB's favor (I know Palat is a good top 6 forward at a good cap hit, but is he worth taking Callahan for two years, then giving up a top 6 forward and a solid young player? Probably not). Then you add in the picks, Rangers get TB's 2019 first (likely to be very late, especially if they go after EK in this reality as you say), and a 4th in the same draft. TB in return gets a 2021 first, which while it isn;t as valuable as a 2019 first, is pretty big, considering the Rangers missed the playoffs, and, while unlikely, could find themselves picking top 10 in 2021. Additionally, TB gets their 4th (which is better than the one they are sending the other way), and a 2nd on top of that. That trade is not going through, especially considering how the Rangers 2nd will probably be in the early 30s-40s in 2019. That trade proposal is heavily favoring TB, and they are the ones who are trying to shed salary.. Rangers aren't taking that deal, unless you take out one of the players going to TB, as well as one of those picks (or switch it to a worse pick or future pick).

Coyle and Stone revisions
There isn't a lot I agree with in this roster, such as the Stone extenstion (probably gets north of 7M for 8 years, or trading away Wilson, etc.), however:
- Involving Burakovsky in a trade package is definitely the way to go imo, to hopefully get a better top 6 player.
- I am not sure about the deal itself, but I like Nikita Soshnikov on that third line. Solid two way player who can contribute offensively and play on your PK (which may hurt after losing Beagle).
- I absolutely with the Hamhuis signing, I think thats roughly what he will get (if not a bit more than it might take), and he provides great leadership and experience for your bottom pair. Bowey isn't quite ready for an NHL job, and I think it would be a bit risky to have Djoos and Bowey on the bottom pair (despite them playing sheltered minutes). Hamhuis could be the next best D alternative if they do not bring Orpik back (as I have heard the Caps are interested in doing so).

The Future Bolts?
I think your signings are decent. Your point contract is spot on, Gourde I think is 4.5 x 3 (especially if he replicates his success from last year). Vasilevsky I could see making 7M for 6 years. The Cirelli contract is interesting, I am curious to see how he progresses. Raddysh should definitely be ready for an NHL job, same with Foote (though I am not sure about the top pair for him, maybe second pair with Sergachev playing 1st pair).
The Stralman signing is okay, he is a solid defenceman, and i think that is roughly the deal to get it done, however you have Dotchin to play the 3rd pair role (for much cheaper at that), and it may be a better idea to move on from Stralman and use that cap space elsewhere (depth signings or deadline moves). This is purely subjective though, so I don't really have a problem with that.
My reasoning behind the two star rating:
Sergachev contract 3 x 3 is more than a bargain, and I think a bit unrealistic (especially if he continues to improve like he did this past season). I would say he is worth more than that after this season alone, let alone two more seasons to grow and develop. I would think the number for him is 3 x 5, give or take 250k. The signing you are proposing would be more than ideal, i am interested to see what they do with his contract (or whether he is in a package for EK if they choose to acquire him).
My main gripe with this however is the Gourde situation. Your contract is reasonable (a bit under-valued imo but solid), however, after the 2018-2019 season, he is a UFA. Right now, he is only making 1M, and he is definitely worth a lot more than that. If he replicates his success, he could be looking at the contract you suggested at the end of this season (3 x 4.25). While that is a good signing, there would be no room for him unless you traded Callahan, which you have not included in this mock roster. I understand that in the year you are doing this (2020-2021) Callahan is a UFA, but you should still mention the trade you would make for him (or Killorn), because otherwise, one of the key roster players is not on this roster.
MY FIXES:
Add in a Callahan trade (buyout probably wouldn't work, as that would eat too much cap), that way you have the room for Gourde.
Update the Sergachev signing (I could be over-estimating his growth, but I just can't see him taking a 3 x 3 bridge).
Let me know what you think about these changes :)

To be honest, Vasilevsky @ 25 making 7M isn't a bad deal (if it even is that much with the state tax in TB), and he is likely to be better by the time he is ready for that extension. Even if Price is healthy TB is not taking him. It is too much $$ for too long of a term, and he isn't getting any better, Vasilevsky has already shown to be a top goalie in the league, and he could get even better.
Also, just a minor note about this lineup, Gourde plays better on the wing, so maybe have him on 3rd line LW, get Cirelli and put him on the 3rd line (played well for TB last season). Scherbak on the 3rd RW is good. Have Conacher play 4th line LW, Pacquette at 4th C is good, and then have Erne as 4th line RW (or possibly Raddysh if he is ready). Andreoff can be your depth at LW and C.
Bottom Six:
Gourde - Cirelli - Scherbak
Conacher - Pacquette - Erne/Raddysh
Andreoff as depth or AHL
I actually made a 2019-2020 TB Roster with Karlsson, (and enough room to sign Vasy to an extension the next year, plus depth players), while keeping Point and Gourde. This involves dumping Cally, Killorn and trading Johnson, but Gourde could move into a top 6 role with the production he had last year (provided he replicates it this year). My package for Karlsson was Sergachev, Raddysh (top lightning forward prospect), a 2020 2nd and 4th. If you have the time check it out.

It will be interesting to see where Karlsson goes. Personally i don't think TB needs him (and they are better off in the long run in terms of cap and futures without him, as well as being an all around better team). Vegas or Dallas seem like good fits, but its all about the asking price. Nice chatting with you.

Price may have won that poll, but you can't believe that Price, aged 31, making 10.5M a season for 8 years, is worth more than Vasilevsky, aged 23, making 3.5M for two more years (and still and RFA after that). Keep in mind, Price seems to be injury prone, and had a bad year (especially by his standards), while Vasilevsky was a Vezina candidate. He is making 3x more money than him, do you honestly believe Price is 3x better than Vasilevsky?
With that being said, Price is a great goalie, and may be the hardest to score on, but there isn't a team in the NHL that would take Price over Vasilevsky right now.
As far as your trade proposal, I would say it's solid (though as I said TB wouldn't touch Price). It is definitely in MTL's favour, even after the cap dump of Callahan and Coburn (to an extent). If I was Bergevin and TB called me with this offer, I am bouncing off the walls, because this trade would not only save my job, but actually get the Canadien's on the right track again. Yzerman is way too smart a GM to do this trade, and I can't see him moving Point (he would make room to keep him when there is cap restrictions), and he certainly isn't moving Vasilevsky.

TB with EK - 2018-2019 SEASON
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spanky227</b></div><div>i just wanna quote here "maybe a b prospect who likely won't make it"-- so why take callahan if they don't get a player that can contribute. If you don't offer anything of value you will not get any help. a 5.8 million cap hit for the next two years is a ton of money. just think, the rangers got a second for delaying the brassard trade where we only had to give him a 2 million bonus. you are talking about 11.8 million. so first rounder or foote. If you want it to just be a second round pick, you are retaining half his salary and giving up "a b prospect who likely wont make it". Just look at the chicago deal that happened today.
hossa, two NHL ready players in hinestroza and osterle (mispelled idc) and a second rounder, for a return cap dump of kruger, 3 jr players that will barely make ahl and a 5th rounder. and hossa has a very similar cap hit as callahan.
that's literally the equivelent of:
callahan, two b prospects, and a second round pick when taking back smith with a million retained (3 mill cap hit roughly-- same as krugers), 3 players that will never make your ahl team and a 5th back. wanna do that deal?</div></div>
First off, I am not sure why I thought Callahan had one year left (I have been doing a lot of 2019-2020 Seasons as well, in which he is on the last year of his contract), so yes, it would be 11.6 as you say (technically 9.4 salary, but 11.6 cap hit).
One thing about the Hossa trade is that Hossa will never play again, whereas Callahan can still play a bottom six role and have okay production, play well in his own end, and provide leadership. This isn't a black and white cap dump, because he can still be a role player for a team. Also, they would buy him out before they retained any salary.
What about this. In this roster TB has 6.5M in cap space, meaning they can actually hold on to Callahan for the season, and still have around 750k to work with. So let's pretend that TB holds onto him until the 2018-2019 Offseason, in which Callahan is only on the books for one season. Trading him would be much easier with one year left (Hossa has three as of the trade), and you can likely get it done with two picks and a B prospect who (rather than not making it to the NHL), could develop into a solid top nine or top 6 D, just wouldn't fit in TB.
2018-2019 OFFSEASON TRADE (BEFORE DRAFT)
Callahan (could retain up to 1M) - 1M would be lower than the buyout cap hit
B Prospect
2019 3rd
2020 4th
If this doesn't get it done, TB can just buy him out and have 1.5M on the cap for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 seasons (which wouldn't be a big deal).
In summary, TB doesn't have to get rid of him under this roster until 2019-2020 Offseason, and if the Rangers (or whoever is a potential partner) wants too much, then TB can just buy him out and not lose anything.
Another option is adding him to the Karlsson deal (though Ottawa is trying to cut payroll), but then you change the 2020 4th to a 1st, and add another prospect into the mix (and maybe add another pick).
As for your proposal, that wouldn't make sense for TB. They get rid of Callahan to have room for their better players, not take back another bad contract (plus they would not need another high paid defenseman with Karlsson oh their team). If NYR wanted to add Smith who makes 3M (with the RS), then TB would find another suitor or buy out Callahan (which again, since they don't have to do that until next season, would just be 1.5M.
If I am the Rangers I am going to use all that cap space effectively (since they are a big market team who has no problem spending to the cap). Load up on picks and prospects and take those short, bad contracts. I understand why you would want a better return for taking on his contract, but (in the case I have in this comment). It is one year, the Rangers could get the two picks and prospect and buy out Callahan if they really wanted to.

The Rangers aren't getting a top prospect or a 1st rounder for taking on Callahan for one year. the 3d could change to a 2nd, and maybe a B prospect who likely won't make it, but nothing more. The guy can still play, and got ~0.33 PPG last year. Plus, the Rangers are getting their old captain back, who is a good locker room guy, good defensively, and can provide veteran leadership for young guys. the move makes sense for the Rangers, and with one year left (and presumably plenty of cap space), it is relatively low risk for them, and they could buy hime out if they really wanted to. They get some picks out of it to help with the rebuild, and maybe a B prospect as i said.
If the Rangers want a 1st, Foote, or any other solid prospect, the deal isn't happening.

2020-2021
The first trade you have is absolutely not ging through. Boychuk is a cap dump, and giving Ottawa a 7th (and getting a better pick in return) makes no sense. Add a 3rd on your side, and change that 7th to a 5th or 6th, and maybe that would go through (even then it may not be enough value for Ottawa).
Bailey for Brannstrom and a 1st isn't a terrible trade. I say that because it makes sense to get rid of him with Eberle, Lee, Beauvillier and Bellows on the wings, but that implies a lot of growth from those last two guys I mentioned. So, as for making the trade, I am okay with that, but Brannstrom and a first may be asking a little high. Brannstrom, a 2nd and a 6th probably gets it done, but I don't think Vegas would want him (or want to give any team one of their top D prospects.
The next trade confuses me. I am assuming you want rid of Hickey, and so you package him with Brannstrom for a 2nd round pick? In your universe, that means Bailey for a 1st (probably late) and 2nd, and who knows what picks will be. If they do acquire Brannstrom, they certainly are not trading him.
I think you have over-valued Nelson, I don't see a team giving a first round pick for him, but that depends on his growth over the next two seasons. However, he is a center, and if any team is goin to overpay it would be Montreal.
The last trade i am indifferent, seems like a sawoff really.
Overall, looks like the Isles got a solid team to look forward to in a year or two, I don't agree with some of the signings, but it fits under the cap and the team looks good. If I was the Isles I would just try to dump Boychuk's contract somehow and just ride it out until the prospects are ready.

Fair point, you do have Gourde who plays a physical game, as well as guys like Koekkoek and Dotchin who can throw the body. Plus guys like Bellows and Erne who play hard-nosed games. Another physcial player wouldn;t hurt however.

Making Karlsson fit
Wow, I don't even know where to start.
First of all, why trade for Richardson when he isn't even in your lineup. Also, you signed Gardiner to an extension (a ridiculous one at that), and you don't even have him in the lineup. You are 2M over the cap, which is okay, as there are some moves you could make, such as dealing Brown, which wouldn't be ideal, but would have to do. also, EK on the 2nd pair?
For the points above, you could say I am nitpicking a bit, but none the less, some poor moves and lack of attention to detail. This isn't my reasoning for the 1 star however.
Your trade proposal for EK is awful at best. The 1st and 2nd in 2019 is fine, and so is Sandin, but the main pieces of value just aren't there. Marleau is not going to Ottawa, that just isn't a fit, and certainly not what they want in return for EK. Also, why would they want Gardiner? They are rebuilding, and quite frankly he doesn't really fit the system over there, especially considering you have him as a rental (as you sign him as a FA). Leivo could be a trade piece, but again, very little value. So, insummary, A 1st, 2nd, Sandin and Leivo could be PART of a package for EK, but Marleau and Gardiner would not be. A piece of real value would have to go over, such as Liljegren, Dermott, Kapanen, etc. Even then, I don't know if Ottawa accepts, due to us not only being in the same division, but also one of (if not) their biggest rivals.

Anders Lee just put up 40 goals and you want him on your third line?
What about:
Lee-Thornton-Pavelski
Kane-Couture-Hertl
Meier-Tierney-Donskoi
Kane and Lee could swap, same with Meier and Donskoi (neither of them are natural LW).
What do you think?

TBL Game Plan for 19-20 Season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>I_Know_Nothing_About_Hockey_Or_Any_Sport2</b></div><div>If they can dump Callahan and/or Killorn to make space (through the trades you proposed originally), I think the Lightning definitely accept. It seems pretty fair for Carolina as well. I've seen Tyler Johnson for Faulk proposed before, but that would obviously involve Tyler Johnson waiving his NTC to go to Carolina, and he might not. Maybe they'd want you to replace one of the picks with Volkov or Stephens, though, just to get them a center, though. Overall I think that's more reasonable than Karlsson.</div></div>
Johnson for Faulk would be interesting, I am actually unsure who wins that trade (one for one). I would think Carolina does, as they get a 2nd line center who is at a good cap hit for 6 years, and Faulk did have a bit of a down year. If I was TB I would not do that trade (and as you said, Johnson would probably not waive his NTC to go there) because I would want to keep my top 6 together (unless I absolutely can't), so trading a non-roster player in Raddysh with picks and maybe another prospect like you suggested would definitely be the preferable route imo.
I think TB with Faulk is an overall better team than TB with Karlsson, but Karlsson is a hell of a player, and him with Hedman is probably the best D pair in hockey by a mile. That being said, the complications that come with Karlsson are too much, and Faulk is on a much better deal, with the perfect length, as when it expires you have Cal Foote who should be ready for a top 4 (maybe top 2 role), and sergachev staying means he is in the top 4 as well, leaving the bottom pair for Koekkoek, Stralman, Girardi (Maybe?) and Dotchin.
This has inspired me to make a mock team with Faulk (I have too much time right now, and a strange addiction to TB's salary payroll).
