Would think the Pens would move Acciari for a mid round pick. 3rd or 4th?

Marner isn't as cool as Kessel.
There will be no hotdogs in the cup on the golf course.

WTF is wrong with some you PIT fans lately? You're making the good ones look bad. Your team has some terrible contracts. Nobody wants them and they sure as hell aren't paying for them. Please STOP trying to pawn your crap off on Chicago. We have enough of our own crap, we definitely don't need yours!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Steve_321</b></div><div>Why does he want to spend 3 years with PIT in the basement instead of setting them up for the inevitable rebuild</div></div>
As the other pens fan here already explained he’s much more likely to want to follow Mario’s example and to serve as a leader to the kids as they come up. If for some off the wall reason he does want to go to a contender, he will have his list and we will find the best deal. That doesn’t automatically mean he’d be with a Canadian team.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Steve_321</b></div><div>Why does Sid not want to move to a Canadian team and bring the cup back to Canada instead of cellaring it up for 3 seasons?</div></div>
Call me crazy but I don’t think Sid owes anything else to Canada. He’s done more than his fair share.

Next Year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AStovetop</b></div><div><strong>I like Ferraro's game as much if not more than Pettersson.</strong> Adding a 2nd and one the Sharks best and most NHL ready prospects to that is just crazy.
I like Liljegren but the 33rd overall pick is FAR too much for him.
Emberson has been fantastic when healthy. I'd prefer him over over Lundkqvist.
Tampa one I just can't understand. Getting the worse contract only to healthy scratch him</div></div>
You might. But 32/32 NHL GMs don't. Including Dubas and Grier. So adding would be necessary. Pettersson is an underrated elite defensive dman that elevates everyone he plays with. I think that is actually approaching a fair trade, though probably reduce the 2nd to a 3rd. However, it makes zero sense from SJS perspective. And if PIT is trading Pettersson, it makes more sense to just get futures because roster players are almost guaranteed to be wasted on a rebuild.

Penguins Offseason
1. Jake is not coming back please folks drop that
2. Brodie does nothing for this team.
3. Edmonton has no reason to do that. Buying out Campbell is an easy move
4. Why would Seattle even think about that and why would EK waive the NMC?
5. Dubois is exactly the kind of player we don’t need, overpaid, overrated, and about himself.
6. NJ won’t trade Holtz
7. You did an undersell on Eller.

i dont even think kyle dubas would entertain a deal for MP unless for some reason a gm was willing to move heaven and earth for him (i wouldnt consider timmins/ 1+3 heaven or earth, let alone both). good chance marcus gets an extension over the summer time

Even if you move one of those defenders their cap relief is going back to replace them in someway. Also think it will be difficult to move Chabot at that AAV.</div></div>
Agreed. But I doubt Ottawa'd give up a young centre when they can easily re-sign him to a long or short term extension.
When it comes to Norris: an other right shoulder injury and he's currently seeking alternatives to surgery. That being said, it's still going to be a long process and recovery. More than likely, we won't see him until mid to late next season. It may be LTIRetired...

Disagree completely. If Smith were a rental then sure, but he isn't. With Petry and then Smith being retained on, Dubas won't have enough retention slots for next deadline.

Leafs - Pens Avs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HollywoodHudon</b></div><div>Reported that for Guentzel the Pens are looking for prospects - not picks - Hirvonen and Steeves are those prospects - the Pens get ALLOT younger with Lilly and Timmins plus the prospects and can flip Brodie for a pick (maybe 2) Karlsson LCEARLY hasn't worked out in PIT - so send him off and start the youth movement (as per above)</div></div>
Steeves is a 24 year old AHLer. Hardly a prospect. Hirvonen is pretty meh. 30 teams could offer a better prospect than him
Karlsson hasn’t been the problem in Pittsburgh he’s been good. Considering the retention you’re asking for and the fact you want Guentzel as well means you’d be giving up Knies + Cowan++
Colorado also isn’t giving up a young top 4 dman for a bad goalie and a 1st
