Blues fan here.

Really really like the Keller trade a lot. Although you could rid brown’s rfa rights bc the blues announced he will not be re-signed unless yotes wanna take a chance on him. If you weren’t aware Scandella has to waive his no move clause for this.

Blues will absolutely not be trading sammy blais. Especially not for a 5th rounder. Army likes his play way too much, plus his value is way higher due to his performance in international play.

Kapanen for 5th makes sense for blues with all other moves, just don’t see cbj as the end location. Maybe Philly or something.

I feel you have overvalued Parayko, Blues would easily accept the trade with edmonton to rid of that contract.

Blackwell makes sense if there is cap space.

Really like the rest of FA signings, toropchenko might be a bit steep but definitely want him re-signed

I understand some of your comments here, especially the last one, but as the title of this armchair gm suggests, I am looking at a retool. If the blues wanted a playoff push, yes I agree, a center would make the most sense, but the blues cannot afford to lock up another older player long term right now.

The way we are stuck with 4 defensemen for at least 3 more years with nmcs, with all of them being in their mid/late thirties when contracts expire, I can see too many issues arrising.

I want the blues to win as much as the next fan, but I just feel if some changes aren’t made, fringe then bottom of the league will come before fringe then playoff bound. But who knows.

And after the deadline was over, during that interview, army said he doesn't plan on spending in free agency this offseason, and he is looking for someone in the top 9 next season.

It seems he wants it to come from someone internally, like blais/torpo/prospects, but, again, I chose tatar so that if blues are worse than I thought, tatar becomes a trade asset. There may be better options earlier in free agency, but that choice was made due to the idea that the krug trade happens late free agency.

-I don't see the flyers accepting this except chuck fletcher is a bit of dingus so who knows. Looks fine from blues perspective.

-Same goes for Leddy/Greenway trade, definitely makes sense for the blues but wild need to resign some important players next season and their ridiculous buyout shenanigans are at their peak starting then. They are more than likely looking for rentals, Leddy is not a rental on that contract.

-I think San Jose likes the two firsts but I think they would ask for a player as well that is already in pro hockey like alexandrov or laferriere along with robertsson. That is all I would change there.

-Griess trade makes sense if Ottawa trades Talbot

-Boston trade makes sense, but I think Craig Smith would definitely get some play time at third line center if healthy. I also could see this trade without leivo
