Trades
1.
VAN
  1. Puljujärvi, Jesse
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (EDM)
EDM
  1. Schenn, Luke
Additional Details:
Canucks take a cap dump + pick for Luke Schenn

e.g.

BOS: Reilly, 2nd, 5th (for extra year left on deal)
EDM: Puljujarvi, 2nd
PIT: Kapanen, 2nd, 6th ((for extra year left on deal)
TBL: Foote, 4th
WPG: 3rd
2.
VAN
  1. Casey, Seamus [Reserve List]
  2. Johnsson, Andreas
  3. 2024 2nd round pick (NJD)
NJD
  1. Boeser, Brock ($1,500,000 retained)
  2. Rathbone, Jack
Additional Details:
Canucks retain $1-1.5M on Boeser and give Rathbone an opportunity elsewhere.
3.
VAN
  1. 2023 3rd round pick (BOS)
BOS
  1. McDonough, Aidan [Reserve List]
Additional Details:
Ideally signed and to see what the Canucks have, but if he wants to sign elsewhere, trade him for a 2023 3rd.

Similar to the trade for Jack McBain for a 2nd round pick, McDonough is slightly older and is producing slightly less, so a 3rd round pick seems fair

Too much. Bruins can just wait for McDonough in August especially since he'll consider Boston.

-I think Schenn to Boston makes the most sense for both teams. More draft picks for Vancouver, and Boston can use their first (and craig smith) on Barbashev instead of using a first and a third to get Gavrikov.

-I think if New Jersey misses out on Meier, Boeser would be an interesting choice if none of the other players line up. Worried about his cap hit still due to the fact the devils have so many important players to resign next season. The trade definitely makes sense if boeser can be consistent.

-I don't know the full situation on McDonough, seems like something that would happen in the offseason though, idk lmao.

Rathbone would have way less opportunity in NJ.

I think McDonough is better than McBain, but probably more likely a winger.

Wouldn't give up Casey for Boeser at 50% retained even.
Kid looks like 2nd round steal and could be huge for the Devils in 3-4 years.
