WPG MTL for now and the future
Really enjoying the outlook of the trade short term. The trade is fair and is a good comparison to the Sastsny trade. Long term wise, they need to sign Laine and Connor so I can't see Max staying with WPG.

WPG BOS (Trouba deal)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ON3M4N</b></div><div>I'll get crucified by B's fans, but I do that deal for Trouba if he's coming with an extension and we're not giving up a 1st (maybe a 2nd + conditional 3rd that becomes another 2nd if he plays 70 games). Lining up McAvoy - Trouba - Carlo down the right side would have us set for 8-10 years. My concern with Trouba is he's failed to play over 65 games in 4 of his 5 seasons and more than 60 over the last two seasons.</div></div>
Won’t crucify you. Understand the logic. Personally i don’t like Donato and 1st in the deal. Been tossing around a scenario the last month of moving Backes to Preds or Vegas then trading Carlo/Heinen/Cehlarik to Jets for Trouba and Perreault. I think Backes would waive NMC for either, especially Preds. He’d be a big upgrade to their 3rd lines and locker room. They have the cap space. Jets get rid of a guy who leaves 1st chance he gets and a contract they don’t want. Get Trouba replacement, 2 young wings, lesser payroll. B’s upgade on D. Get 3rd line center to give the kids another year to develop.

WPG EDM BUF MTL 4 way
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>scarbrow21</b></div><div>To sign in BUF for 6-7 years Trouba likely gets 6.5M-7.
Bergavin traded Subban for Weber, Sergachev for Drouin, and Galchenyak for Domi (though I actually don't mind this trade)...this looks like the best deal he's ever made
I don't take anything you comment seriously...so if you see an armchair gm team with my name on it dont bother commenting...I wish I could just delete or block you because you're only ever negative</div></div>
I would do that from buffalos end. Risto and a second for trouba signed 6/42 works for me.

Is there any way the Kings can trade with you guys and not give up Vilardi. I want Conner, but would you accept Kale Clague? Or Tanner Pearson + Alec Martinez and we'll take Kulikov off ur hands? I just really love Vilardi!!

Still need a C
I think it's fair offer for Draisaitl. Myers just a year rental Stanley may not even be a NHLer. Jets would still have to shed salary next year when Laine gets extend

Realistic off-season (with Tavares)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vanderm</b></div><div>Yikes. Just...yikes.
I think TOR plays ball, but they have their own salary situation to deal with (Nylander, Matthews, Marner), and Myers isn't cheap. Worth it, but not cheap. Dubas probably finds a way to make it work.
MTL plays ball. They've got picks to spare and then some, and Little probably slots in on the 2nd line.
NYI is the tightest one I think. Perreault is a guy they'd be very interested in adding to the middle 6. But it might require an extra 4th rounder or more to get them to move back to #25 from #12 (yes, they also have #11, but that gives them two great chances to scoop up any players that might slip down).
Well thought out.</div></div>
TO doesn't have salary concerns, at least not yet and they shouldn't if they stick to their plan. They have only reasonable contracts (Martin's isn't really good but it's not a big problem) and their core can be locked up for 8 years with little trouble. Teams who are in salary trouble, are ones who have guys in their mid to late 20's looking for huge contracts but they've used up their cap space on over priced roll players. The best way to build a winner? Stay the hell away from free agents. I do like the Myers trade, a 1st straight up, and then resign him for 4 years at 5 a piece or something like that. He's a good defenceman but he's not better than Rielly so he won't make more than he does.

3 way deal EDM OTT
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cberg</b></div><div>Even if you believe Myers and Klefbom are equivalent, which I don’t (Myers is way better), no way Winnipeg is giving up 6 pieces, including 4 young players, a 1st and a 2nd for Edmonton’s 10OA. That’s craziness.</div></div>
Myers is one year away from being UFA....Kelfbom has many years left at a good cap hit. Isn't an argument over who is "better" it's who has more value at the moment. Jets would way rather have several years of Klef at a shade over 4 mill than 1 year of Myers at 5.5. As a Jets fan I'd do that swap in a hearbeat

Trade for rights
I appreciate the creativity. If the Jets could land Hughes, Dobson or Bouchard to eventually replace Myers on the back end, it could be an interesting concept. 5 years out, I'd envision D pairings of Morrissey-Trouba, Niku-Dobson, Stanley-Poolman.
The firepower of the top 6 is scary.
Vinnylou, I'm guessing Laine comes in around $8-9M, Wheeler $7M and Connor might need a bridge deal. Likely cost one or both of Mason's final year or Perreault to fit it all in.

Yeah but Winnipeg will get better offers for Trouba.

The only way you get Trouba is with Ristolainen + pieces. No one's trading a franchise RHD without another, and Trouba is well ahead of Risto.

Well, Myers may have some more upside yet, but Hamilton is an established Top Pairing guy. He generates high quality shots and converts lots of those shots, all while having pretty fantastic fancy stats.
Plus, Myers is 28 years old, while Hamilton turns 25 in a few months. The age + resume should warrant a decent value difference between the two.
