Cgy-Pit deal
If Flames remove Dube from the deal and add a 3rd is that accepted?
It’s not a bad trade, just a bit rich

As much as I’d want the Flames to get a better piece for right now, that’s a hard offer to turn down. Villeneuve can play with Porier and hopefully both move to the NHL in the next two years. Liljegren can slot into 3rd pair and the 1st could be flipped to add to the current roster.

Lets be honest, 95% of the stuff on here wouldn't be agreed to by GMs... We are all fans and those are the opinions we are targeting by posting on this site.

Gothca, didn't know if that was just for him or a general statement. Now I'm curious what <a href="/users/Gmonwy" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Gmonwy</a> offer would be.
Personally, I think something with Hanifin or Tanev for Nylander would be the framework with Flames adding a piece or pieces depending what dman goes back.

Columbus fans are agreeing with 2024 1st, Sillinger, Boqvist for Lindholm. So something to match that.

Flames Offseason
Both trades are good for both teams. Good job on putting that together, it seems hard to find on ACGM lol.
Only other thing I'd say is they should also move Toffoli or re-jig the lines becasue Toffoli and Huberdeau 'apparently' didn't work.
Edit: also need to add Coronato into the line up

I think you just need to look at the trade from both sides and have it make sense.
Nylander to the Flames should probably get Toronto something they need as a base (aka. a defenseman and/or more of a two way forward). While Lindholm is the two way forward they could use, it wouldn't make sense for them to trade their 1C for a 1RW. It would be like trading Matthews for Kucherov

I'd say all of those trades are actually pretty fair except Buffalo probably doesn't need Samsonov, who the Leafs should keep because Murray and Woll doesnt seem like a recipe for success.

thoughts on players forcing their way to spacific teams
From a team perspective, it sucks that you invest in a player and don't have a chance to even sign them to play. You draft so well that the player can choose who he signs with.
From a player perspective, if your good enough to force this situation, why not choose your spot?

Leafs 23-24 Off-Season Augmentation V
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockey_Hippy</b></div><div>Do you think any of your current FAs to be re-sign? Do you think Andersson does in three years? Do you think the Flames win a cup in that time? Do you think they can beat out any of Vegas, Edmonton, Seattle or LA to get into the playoffs?
Those are the questions you need to be asking.</div></div>
To answer your questions:
Yes, some of the current FAs will re-sign and some will be dealt.
Andersson is in line to be the captain of this team, the Flames will pay him what he's worth.
Flames had one bad year where their goaltending was atrocious, if the goalies had played at a .900 level, they make the playoffs.
Do I think they win the cup? Odds are they don't. Do I think they can beat out division rivals in a 7 game series? Yes, there is definitely a chance of that happening.
Do you think Matthews, Marner, or Nylander re-sign? Do you think the Leafs will have stable goaltending (you are still lacking a true defensive dman)? Do you think Bunting takes that pay cut to join the Leafs when the core 4 aren't signed past two years and he can likely get a better deal as an FA?
Those are the questions you should be asking.

Mang and Hanifin for Marner. Flames go up $150k in cap, so $1.1m in cap space without filling out the roster. Trade Vladar and probably one of Toffoli or Tanev to clear $6m+ and the Flames could make this work. Not a fan of two $10m+ contracts, but hard to turn down a player like Marner.

1C and a 1RHD on a cost effective contract for a 1RW who has 1 year left and a possible top 4 d-man... If the Flames bring in Nylander, its to play with Lindholm. And they aren't trading Andersson unless its an overpay.
