Solid solid team. Would love if they get Tony on those terms and the Strome bridge deal looks great.
If Miller - Lundkvist is the next Lindgren - Fox line we are so in the money. I do think they have Nils warm up to American hockey, but we will see.

Ahhh i know i know. I do feel the same with the whole Panarin effect, I just know the market is going to gets crazy (especially after last year). Gotta see though. Don't know who they would replace with FA wise. Maybe upgrade via trade.

Two needs
Not trying to knock, but as a rangers fan this is not what we are looking for. We already have a ton of prospects ready to go (can never have too much, but can't also have a team of all 23 and younger guys) and adding multiple middle round picks is an embarrassment of riches on the futures front.
Nothing against Danton either, but I'm sure they would want a more established guy and would give up on taking the middling round picks.
Clearly everyone wants the best for their team. I know a 1st and a mid-level prospect would be a solid return.

Finishing an Incredible Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mhan63</b></div><div>I agree on both points. Not that I would necessarily make the same trade, but if I had to trade 1 of our 3 young centers at this point, it would be Andersson.
As for Lindgren, with Skjei figuring to be here long term and assuming Miller reaches top-4 level, we have 1 spot on the left side undecided. Kids fighting for that job will be Lindgren/Hajek/Rykov/Reunanen/Robertson/etc. I can see Skjei being traded down the line if the kids start to outplay him, but that's still just 2 spots open on LD for all these promising kids. If I had to choose 1 young LD to be included in a trade, it'd be Lindgren.</div></div>
This is a good problem to have. Agreed with everything you said.
These trades are very fair too. We got too greedy with thinking every trade needs to be blind robbery. Move the pieces you need to now. The team is going to be fantastic. Set it up right for that LONG run at the cup.

I like that. AND I like the idea of having a lotto pick in next years draft. TOO much talent, gimme in the top 20 and we are walking away with a stud, in the top 10 and we are beyond GOLDEN

I think signing panarin is very realistic . Still a solid line-up without though. Got some bodies that need to be moved though.

Rumor. They are interested and made contact. Coga is just a little troll, pay no mind.

You are all crazy?!?! You just traded a a 3rd of a year of Kevin Hayes and a the rights to a very poor defenseman in Pionk for LEMIEUX AND TROUBA
The trade as of this moment is a Complete and Utter thrashing, if he resigns it'll be one of the best trades in the history of the Rangers

Trouba at 8?? damn. Not saying it won't happen, I just think I'll always be scared/nervous when we offer Dmen massive contracts.
I think at 8 years lets make $7mm
Also, no way I give up a pick in next year's draft. Most stacked draft since the first Smackdown vs RAW draft.

Take Deangelo and the 2nd out of that trade. maybe through in pionk's rights or a later pick.
Like that Oilers trade, I can see it happening.
Not 100% sure on the others. COL is a pain in the a$$ to trade with.

A lot of our guys will be up for extension soon. So to have another top notch blue chipper on an ELC will be huge for this team. Only way we trade it if its bringing us back a star player that is under 25 years old that is also part of a bigger deal</div></div>
Ahhh I see I see. This is the insight I appreciate. And of course this all makes sense. Got to really blow a team away to move from a spot that high.

The Future is NOW
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spanky227</b></div><div>Kravtsov is a LW, not really a center. He shifted their for WJC and did well, but his natural position is LW.
With having Kakko, Kravtsov, and Buchnevich all preferring RW as left handed shots, I wouldn't sign Skinner, another left handed shot.
I also don't think that Strome should be the initial second line center. Give that to Chytil and let him lose it if he underperforms. Honestly this is probably what we should address after Panarin and RHD as we don't really have a 2nd line center
Our preference should be to obtain another right handed shot, both on offense and defense (we need to get rid of shattenkirk, he isn't a top pairing guy)
If we would be able to get rid of half of his cap, we could use the money spent on skinner to make a run for Karlsson (might be a mistake); however, I would prefer packaging Pionk with a pick and/or another player for a better RHD (my wishlist is trouba).
Rykov has played over 20 minutes per game in the KHL, I think he'll be ready for 2nd pairing on the left side (although he can play both).
Kreider should be traded-- he already said he wouldn't report without an extension in place and well, him not playing lowers his stock even more than him playing through his injury.
If we were to:
Sign Panarin
Trade for Trouba (and sign at 7.25)
Sign Duchene (worst case go back for Hayes on another short term deal, say 6.5m for 2 years)
Get rid of Shattenkirk & Smith (we could package smith with vesey and take a lesser pick), buyout Staal
Panarin-Zibanejad-Kakko
Chytil-Duchene-Kravtsov
Lemieux-Strome-Buchnevich
Andersson-Howden- (**) **I would target Ho-Sang, Dal Colle, Duclair, Puljujarvi or another player thats boom or bust, wouldn't cost much in terms of trade or offer sheet**
Skjei-Trouba
Rykov-DeAngelo
(Hajek or Lindgren)-Fox</div></div>
You think they could work out a move sending Krieder up north for Trouba? (other pieces added as needed)
