Lol yup you have a point there! I just hate that Dostal isn’t getting a lot of opportunities at the NHL level, I hope that can change whether it’s with or without Gibson in the organization

Yeah I sent Barrie to PIT with the thought of Letang out.
NY likely shipping Georgiev with no need of keeping him anymore so figured it would be a good fit
Wasn’t entirely sure what to add for DeBrusk but I know he had requested a trade and figured it would be something along those lines if EDM put an offer in :)

22-23 Ducks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Gibson is under contract for five more seasons, and Anaheim should be a contender by the third, so your idea that he "doesn't fit the rebuild" makes no sense. Trading Gibson for Nylander solves one problem for Anaheim in the intermediate term but creates an equal problem longer term when Nylander's contract expires just when Anaheim's window to compete will be opening. Solving the goalie question for five years has an intangible value that's hard to quantify. No, thanks.</div></div>
Gibson’s numbers over the last three years are not as good as they were prior, and with Dostal on the uprise, why not get him some NHL time now so he can hopefully be ready to go by the time this team is ready to compete. That’s kind of how I was looking at it, with Gibson having great value currently, and Dostal up and coming, I should have reworded it a bit better - Gibson does fit the rebuild, but Dostal fits it better in my opinion :)

Toronto wouldn’t trade Bunting, especially not for a LD if they’re resigning Giordano like you have them doing. I like Stanley’s size, but that deal is a no go imo

I fixed it lol I hadn’t realized I had the 1st still in there. I know Toronto isn’t going to trade Nylander just to trade him, same with Sandin, but I explained a bit more in the description :)

That’s true. I had originally had $10Mx6 but with the flat cap and such I second guessed myself lol. But with the team I’ve made for NJ, they could definitely afford $10M… Forsberg is such an underrated player it’s hard to judge lol

Although that's probably fair for holl, I believe Toronto would like a 3rd for holl, but ultimately a 4th would do</div></div>
Tatar hasn’t been horrible, but he’s dropped off the last two seasons and with a cap hit of $4.5M I wasn’t sure what his value would be. Holl I could see it being a 3rd, but knowing how tight against the cap they are and getting his $2M off the books I’m sure they’d take a 4th haha

For sure! I definitely see Georgiev on the outs in NY though and the goalie market isn’t overly great, and figured if Ryan resigns in NY, then Dylan would be a great fit there lol

How young does futures have to be for you to be content? 20, 22 and 25 year old players all have insanely bright futures if given the right opportunities, PLUS a first round pick in a predicted deep draft all for a 34 year old vet. I personally think it’s a fair trade, and there’s been people agree, so 🤷🏼♂️

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CalvinKlein</b></div><div>I don't think the Devils make that move, since it doesn't really improve them.
Graves is younger than Muzzin and on a friendler deal, as for Mrazek if the Devils wanted him, they could have picked him up on waivers.
I doubt they trade Graves and a pick for that package.</div></div>
That’s fair! I was looking at it from a standpoint as to where Muzzin has more term and I feel would be a great fit with Dougie, while Graves is on an expiring deal and as for Mrazek, I know it’s unlikely he goes, but I know NJ has had some goalie issues so figured I’d throw him in as well

Nylander is only 25 and proven, Sandin is a 22 year old NHL ready defenceman, Hirvonen is a young prospect taken in the second round in 2020 could still develop well, and a first round pick in next years draft. With Bergeron’s future uncertain, Marchand on his way to the leafs in this scenario, Pastrnak McAvoy and Nylander would be key pieces for the Bruins and wouldn’t require a full rebuild. I think it works for both teams personally, but to each their own :)

Dougie Hamilton gets 6-7 years at $7-8M per easy. And I don’t see Seattle taking Drouin in the draft unless Montreal pays to have him selected.
