Takes more than that for OTT to trade Talbot to a team they are chasing for the wildcard spot

TOR has to move one of Kerfoot or Engval so I dont think TOR gets anything for them. Kerfoot has M-NTC so I think they move Engvall instead because there are more options of places to send him.

If he doesn't work out, they just don't qualify him and he becomes a FA (which in this case with OTTs cap situation would).

I think he would be a great 13th forward/ playoff depth for any contending team and chose the Avs because they are right up against the cap and a 13th forward at a cap hit of 375,000 is great for that reason alone

If someone is interested in Hamonic, you take the deal. Give some reps to Thomson or Guenette. Holden won't get that much. Probably in the realm of a 4th or 5th or something similar to what they got from J. Brown last year.
All the other deals seem reasonable..</div></div>
Ya forgot about the Matt Murray retention... I agree with the Hamonic trade just didnt really know who would want him. I think unless they get a 3rd for him, the hold him to "protect" Braanstrom/Sanderson

Did not realize he was a Ranger before but the fact remains he gets moved for a mid round pick. Its more of the roster set up after getting rid of vets on expiring contracts.

Lines I want in two weeks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NDoody</b></div><div>I think there is some interest in bringing up Grieg to give him a look, but there is no way he would be C, Giroux would slide to C and he would play LW.
Also, the 3rd and 4th lines are not getting touched if possible, they have been playing way too good.
Now if they do slide Pinto up to 2C you would think Brassard still slides in 3C so you keep those lines as in tack as possible.</div></div>
I know the bottom 6 has been great but, I think there is a chance it can be even better. It's like splitting up Norris Batherson and Tkachuk to start the season, there is a chance the team can be even better with a bit of a split-up. I like Brass with Pinto and Joseph to make it a bit more offensive without Motte and Motte is a much better player than Watson. I can easily get onboard wiht Giroux upthe middle instead of Grieg but, I like Griegs young legs in the middle. Let Greig and Giroux take faceoffs on their strong side.

Lines in two weeks is in the title and Grieg played last night. The goal was to bring a young C up and insulate him with Giroux. Hellberg gets "injured so they dont lose him on waivers but, if they do not a big deal with Talbot coming back.

I agree it isnt great that Brown got moved but I think Motte provides to the team what Brown would be used for. Brown would be a defensive/pk specialist with the additons and Motte is alot cheaper. Young guys like Greig, Sokolov, and Jarventie can step into the top-9 if there is an injury too. I am taking zero PD slander after his offseason haha

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NDoody</b></div><div>For that value the Sens are giving up I would be willing to make that deal after some very deep dive into his medical records and recovery.
There is a potentially huge upside there, however, I also don't see Philly moving him unless they don't think he can perform to standards with what they gave up for him.
Without having Ellis as a pairing with Provarov there are a lot of fo questions around him as well, so would be a tough move on the Philly side.</div></div>
I was just looking at rosters around and noticed that they have alot of players on their RHD with the DeAngelo trade (De Angleo Risto Ellis Braun) and thought they might be ok moving on from him. Just a new thought thats all

CarsonN89 trade from a Sens POV
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xspyrit</b></div><div>This is doable for Ottawa
- Upgrading Zaitsev to Murphy is a must, there's value in that
- DeBrincat is a high end top-6 winger, have to know what his contract demands will be though
Ottawa doesn't really need Brannstrom that much because Chabot/Sanderson and eventually Kleven
They can live without Thomson with Zub, JBD and Murphy
They can afford to move those 3 picks for immediate help too.
That 3rd should be improved to 2nd round pick
And I would add Filip Gustavsson to the package, a young goalie who could become their starter for a long time.
Specifically on this, making the pick is in YOUR control. If the pick didn't "pan out" it's probably because you didn't make the right choice.
You could mess up a 1st OA pick too, but the value is still the value of a 1st OA pick</div></div>
I agree that choosing a player at 7 OA is within control but to say that no matter what that this player will be a major player on a team for the next decade as a fact is just not true. I am saying it holds a lot of value but saying that you dont want DeBrincat because 7OA and Lassi is guaranteed to better is a wild take (that was my point).

Cat to Ottawa
This is far too much for Ottawa to give up. Forms and Pinto will play a big part of their future and the Sens are not a CAT away from winning the cup. Cat's value is crazy high but, I dont think that Ottawa would give this much up for him (even with the Cap Dump that they can afford to keep if needed)

CarsonN89 trade from a Sens POV
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>athrin</b></div><div>it is not worth it for OTT to trade for 5-6 years of Cat, when he hits his late 20s early 30s his career will be over while 7th OA, and Thompson will be top players for Hawks for decade+, IF OTT was currently a playoff team then it be worth it but they may not even be close to a wild card spot again next season</div></div>
I mean this is crazy speculative. 7OA dont always pan out, and Lassi is far from being a lock as a top player for a decade. Cat is a 40 goal scorer and has the potential to allow Stu to be a top player. At some poitn the cupboards are too full of prospects and you need top end players which Cat is.
Plus his size doesnt mean anything with the type of player he is . He isnt a grinder like Gallagher and smaller guys have a lot longer careeers now in the NHL.
In all honesty, as a Sens fan I think the Sens could pay more than this especially with the dump of Z and bringing in Murphy

Need to pay to get rid of Zaitzev A) because DJ loves him wayyyyy too much and will play him far too much so you need to take Z away from him. B) Sens are not a cap team and the sad reality is assets get moved to save money.
Side note, Holden is kept as the 7th D considering he signed an extension not too long ago and Del Zotto gets bought out, traded, or contract terminated considering his feud with the team (which is justifiable)
