Eklund just sealed the deal that Simmonds will re-sign now. Tampa's 1st rounder is going to NY if they win the cup so I'm guessing it would be a 2020 / 2019 if they don't win the cup? No way would I do this for anything less than a 1st if Katchouk is the only other piece.

Yeah TB can’t trade their 1st or 2nd at the deadline because due to the conditions of the Rangers trade, either pick could become the Rangers based on how the Bolts do in the playoffs

That Eklund is a piece of work, but saying what I really think of him would probably get me kicked off this site. I wouldn't take a thing he says to mean anything more than click-bait for his site. No high level NHL people respect him, so how is he getting his info? Media people won't talk to him either. So again, how is he getting all this "info". It's complete click bait and I feel sorry for the decent writers that use his platform to blog, because some of them are quite decent in their writings and opinion pieces.
