I'm not sure moving up 4 picks in a deep draft within the top 15 and Debrincat 2.0 lurking around the teens-2nd round (if gms make the same mistake twice) is worth taking on that Lucic contract... like at all.

Read again and realized they were two options... still not convinced it would be worth it considering how MIN is already leveraged up their ass in long expensive contracts.

    Neither an answer???

Not really a good answer to how to get rid of Lucic other than build a time machine...

Eh, we have well over $10M to play with so we could do it, but yeah I'd rather not take on Lucic. Fact is the Wild HAVE to hit on a prospect this year so if there's someone available at 8 that we like (such as a Turcotte/Dach or even a Cozens/Zegras) then I'd do the Zucker + our 1st for the 8th overall pick.

I will agree that the 2nd trade option is certainly worth considering, was more focused on the Lucic part of the deal for my original comment.

Oh, I think that's the wrong choice. 8th overall to take a center and 12th overall to take a pretty highly rated defenseman ( at least three of Broberg, Soderstrom, Robertson and York should all be available and Harley may drop to 12) is certainly worth the burden of buying Lucic out.
