      Theres Part 1 : https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1197214
      Theres Part 3 : https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/230664

      Cap rise = 3,5M regular

      MUZZIN / DERMOTT

Falling in love with Muzzin, his size and the way he hits hard, resigning him and ditching Dermott cause with Sandin coming he just fell out from 3rd Line on the depth chart

      SANDIN & LILJEGREN

After »synchronizing« in AHL for one more year they are ready to jump on 3rd Pair

      DEPTH

Dubarelli continues his work with pushing kids into one way Leagues minimum contracts, Engvall playing C in AHL 2018/2019

      GOALIES

      Backup as optional

Special teams representing Expansion draft protected players, hopefully some pick added to expose someone and protect Sandin and Liljegren also

SUGGESTIONS WELCOME ABOUT HOW TO HANDLE MARTINEZ AND DERMOTT TRADE

I wonder if the leafs wouldn’t be better off with Dermott over muzzin. I get the physical part but with muzzin signed for 4 years sandin will be 25 before he even has a shot at 2nd pair.not sure muzzin’s hysical game won’t catch up with him either.

I don’t hate it but I don’t love it either.

Hard to predictvwho will need what as far as the Dermott and Martinez trades but I will ponder on it.

Aint that sweet, to have Sandin on third line at 25y still cause of depth on LHD, where he would make it ot first line in all other Teams. Less minutes will proly make him amassing less leverage when he hits 3y first contract extension. ( if you remember i was claiming the same "moneyballing" maneuver about Johnsson and Kapanen last summer, to play them in 3rd or 4th Line max regardless of quality, cause after 25 points they would be signed 5 x 2,5M now, with the fact that whoever you fetch next to Matthews / Tavares will get 15 points jump ). I know its hard pil to swallow, but its about strategy now, when we left the comfort zone of non-playoff team and enter high $$ earning group of generational talents era.

I knew that Muzzin will be another hard one to swallow, especially on the account of 7y younger Dermott, but while we are getting 23,3y average at Offensive core, the maturity should be included at least in D, where players prime can be stretched into bit later years, i think he will still be quite online at his 35y when his contract would end.

I think the cap will be higher that what you proposed

I agree with @jamiepo that need to give the young D man a shot soon so maybe not resign Muzzin
