Don't hate that, would need a D who can play this year too tho, Mayfield or someone just to fill out the roster till Dobson can play full time.

Sorry to break it to you but dubas matches that deal. I’m not sure I would but I’m pretty sure he does. He was already offered 10m x 8 yrs. His rumoured ask is still 11.5m x 5 for as much as rumours are worth. I fon’t See the islanders offering a penny less. Too be honest the islanders won’t offer anything because it is ultra conservative Lou.

Dobson is one of the few Islanders who are off limits. Lou wouldn't move Dobson to get Stone at the TDL, he won't move him now when it seems like he's ready to step in next season. Would seriously consider moving Pulock in a deal for Marner before Dobson, though preference would be to build a package around Mayfield and/or Wilde.

That's why I signed Heed and Hainsey. I figure if there was an offer on Marner four first rounders. Maybe taking two first rounders and the known Dobson would be OK for both teams.
Liljeggren and Sandin next in 2020/21....maybe even Dobson. If Duzak, Holllawell, Rasenan, Lindren are NHLers (maybe not all) by 2021/22....Leafs are looking good on defence.
