Description

Buffalo can't find a decent deal and adjust the roster accordingly. For some reason Risto plays a bit better with Hunwick so maybe we keep them together while Pilut rests.

Explanations of all Lines.

1st: Vesey is bad defensively so pair him with Offensive power line.

2nd line: Olofsson benefits from Reinhart who may possibly center the line

3rd line: Mitts is sheltered by Erod who's been one of the better players on the team. Hope for sheary to have a bounce back year. If he doesn't he at least drives play on both ends of the ice

4th: Nothing to say here

1st D: Dahlin and Joki get a chance to show if they're the future 1st pairing of the Sabres. Miller might replace Joki.

2nd Pairing: Pilut should be the 2nd LD. Pairing with Miller should give him some freedom to play

3rd: hunwick should be 3rd pairing while Pilut is on IR. Montour or Miller will play 2LD in the mean time. Risto for some reason loves Hunwick so for the mean time pair them together

Which is why you traded the wrong DMan. Risto gets you the best possible return and reduces the glut at RHD. If you need to look to move Marco or Hunwick in your 'McCabe' trade.

McCabe has always demonstrated a physical presence and solid D in his own zone. This is a young player who is showing that they have started to figure it out (no comparison here but it took Hedman 5 years to figure it out) therefore do not give up on his youth because he had injuries the past 2 seasons. Big mistake if you trade McCabe.

I would keep ristolainen without a second thought if the offers are as bad as I've seen on here today. If he doesn't bring back at least a solid top 6 rw or center, or a very strong futures package, he stays. I mean if botterill moves him for a couple 3rd rounders/teams 8th best prospect plus a garbage cap dump to even up salaries, he should be fired on the spot.
