I'd say replace one of those prospects with a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Wilde preferably, he's far more expendable. Holmstrom's value grows as Bellows gets worse and worse. Zucker's good and he'd come with a lot of term, but the Isles really can't afford to blow prospects until they either have a massive surplus of them or until they're already a frontrunner for the Cup.

If you wanted both Holmstrom AND Wilde, I'd say MIN would have to take back a really bad contract to make it worth it. Honestly, the Wild have to at least eat one bad contract in a deal with the Isles as is. With Barzal, Pulock and Toews getting big paydays next offseason, we can't take on a 5.5 aav contract without shedding at least 3m in cap space.

I think bode Wilde , 2nd , and a 4th is a fair trade. Zucker is a very good player who brings top line value. The islanders will need to trade Leddy + buyout komarov this summer if they trade for zucker

You could probably build a deal around one or the other, but likely not both. I’d be more willing to move Wilde, just because we have so many young defensemen. He’s been anyways, I think.

Assuming you’re a Wild fan, could you describe Zucker for me? I know hes a good top-6 forward, but I’m looking more for play style, tendencies, etc.

Zuckers game is based on speed. He has a lot of skill and controls the puck a lot when he is on the ice. He plays a solid defensive game. His passing is only ok and a sniper he is not, he does generate a lot of chances.

So basically Barzal and Zucker could both use their speed on the same line and skate circles around opposing d? I like the sound of that
