Leafs aren't giving Kapanen up for a backup, 3rd pair D or overpaid 4th line C (I mean he's overpaid to be a 4th C, he's better off in Calgary).

Well that is convenient because Calgary isn't giving up next year's 1st pair RHD for a 40 pt / season middle six winger!

Exactly, Andersson is already a hell of a player and going to be a good one. @NR1203 you must have never watched him play, this trade is so one sided for the leafs and i hat calgary, I am an Oilers fan, that guy is good.

It's not about how he's used in Calgary. It's about how he'll be used in Toronto. Here he's on the Leafs 3rd pairing. That's not worth Kapanen. If you say he's good enough to be a 1st pair guy, then it's the other way around. Kapanen isn't enough.
