There has got be be a cheaper way to get some depth on right wing than Kylington and a 1st. I still think that Jankowski has value even though he is having a shirt year.

Palmieri is far more than just depth. He'd be a real impact player for the Flames. Terrific two way wing at 4.65 mil for this and next season. If the Devils would be willing to trade him, I think Flames should be in the mix ...

I realize he is an impact player i just don't like trading youth in the form of Kylington and a First. I just think that is short sighted. I would rather trade for someone who might be as impactful right now but is younger and has more cost certainty past next year.

I don't disagree but you're not getting a top 6 winger with another season of term for less, could swap Kylington for a couple B-prospects but the 1st has to be there, it'd probably take a similar package as Muzzin cost.

In that case i would target someone who is not 28 years old and headed for UFA after next year. Maybe try and take a run at Kapanen from the Leafs or someone else 24-25 years old with potential.
