Imagine believing a man that created a 20+ year playoff streak for your team is somehow bad at his job because there are a couple contracts you don’t like left behind. The only reason the Wings had that 25 year playoff record is because Mike Ilitch spent money in UFA like George Steinbrenner did in MLB. That 2002 Stanley Cup wasn't cheap! Kenny couldn't manage a Buy-Here/Pay-Here lot let alone manage an NHL team in the cap area.
