Description
If they want to recreate the Patrick Roy scenario. NO Salary Cap. NO Bowen Byram. NO Alex Newhook. NO Jonathan Drouin. NO Tomas Tatar

Consider the fact the Habs got Jocelyn Thibault who was a top prospect (courtesy of Eric Lindros LOL) at the time and only because there was NO SALARY CAP.

Here's a comparaison
-----------------------------------------
Habs trade Patrick Roy & Captain Mike Keane for Andrei Kovalenko, (Czech forward) Martin Rucinsky and top goalie prospect Jocelyn Thibault

Recreation
-----------------------------------------
Habs trade Carey Price & Captain Shea Weber for Nikolai Kovalenko, (Czech forward) Martin Kaut, and top goalie prospect Justus Annunen.

had to make it look like the Patrick Roy trade tho. At least they got back a top prospect just like they did when they traded Roy lol.

did you at least remember to go to the Bettman and have him remove the salary cap first?

Comparing Keane to Weber though isn't really fair.... Habs don't have an exact Keane comparable but the type of player that would be closest would be Byron I would think.

At the end of the day, its impossible to look at comparing trades WITHOUT using the cap also.
