My Opinion On Taylor Hall

‪I don’t see what makes Taylor Hall such a special player. Throughout his career, he’s been a below replacement level player at best. Look at his stats, he doesn’t impact the play at all. The only season he played decent was in 2017/18 when he got carried by Kyle Palmieri. He doesn’t have what it takes to drive his own line, let alone lead the entire team. Sure he plays physical, but so does Corey Perry, that doesn’t make him good. Honestly, I don’t understand what in the world he’s done to earn a deal in the 9-11 million dollar range. He sucks. ‬

1) how does one get carried by Kyle Palmeri? Hall was clearly the driver of that 2017/18 team and has been a consistent 60+ point scorer his whole career.
2) Prime Corey Perry was elite
3) His value realistically is probably in the 8-9 mil range, but he'll get more on the open market

He got carried by Palm tree, except Hall had more than double the amount of points of anyone else on the team? As for being a below replacement level player, his GAR is in the top 8 percentile, and his WAR is top 10. He’s a HELL of a player. His RAPM look like something you could find on certain XXX rated websites. He’s a special player, and he always has been. He’s consistently out 60+ points up on WAY below par teams. He is statistically one of the top 5 play driving forwards in the NHL. He plays a great defensive game as well as being physical. He could honestly get more than Panafon did because the dude is elite.
