Description
This is just A FOR FUN idea!
But hey it might make sense based on someone’s recent trade that many considered to be much closer than any other that they had seen and this might mend the gap for both teams.

The point here is: bruins sign Hall, which allows them to sorta be more reckless with the trade (replacing Kase with a much more valuable player in debrusk).

Even as I made it, cap space became an issue, but that’s why the bruins sign Hall to a one year deal at 7 mil (with the promise of playing with Eichel) then he is able to put up 100 points and earn an 11 million dollar deal instead of only 9 mil this offseason

That’s business baby

COL
  1. Krejci, David
Additional Details:
Based on comments, nobody seemed to have an issue with this trade.
It’s makes sense too.
Avs get a good second line center that would resign with them because they aren’t, well Buffalo. Bruins get a solid top 6 prospect to be another big piece in the Eichel trade.
Avs then use can then let Kadri more comfortably play 3C where he is better suited anyway.
Win -Win
3.
BUF
  1. DeBrusk, Jake [RFA Rights]
  2. Jost, Tyson
  3. Ritchie, Nick
  4. Studnicka, Jack
  5. 2021 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Now, instead of two really big pieces and three medium pieces, you have three really big pieces (in studnicka, Jost, and Debrusk), and then Ritchie is still solid top 6 / middle 6 depth and still a top 6 potential guy with a 1st as well.

Buffalo gets an amazing return for a player who has expressed his desire to leave, and the bruins get their guy without killing themselves
4.
BOS
  1. 2020 2nd round pick (EDM)
DET
  1. Grzelcyk, Matt [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
So cap space would take an L, so Griz would need to go, but bruins will be fine.

I don't think hall would sign that low even though they would easily make it to the conference finals every year.
hall could just sign with COL and get paid more

But overall not to bad

Depleting the depth of the Bruins would be the wrong decision. I know its for fun but I wouldn't like this Bruins lineup. The star power upfront is unreal but I think this team struggles to win a cup.

It's a novel idea and I applaud how much thought you put into it, but I don't this will happen for a few reasons:

1.) Hall is a former Hart winner, so no matter how much he struggled this year, people are still going to pay him. It would be an awfully big risk to take to sign a 7 x 1 deal in hopes of a 100 point season. Injuries and lack of chemistry are potential drawbacks that could cause his value to drop again. Signing a 9 X 7 or whatever a team thinks he's worth this offseason is a much safer bet for him.

2.) I doubt Krug will sign for $7 Mil. If Jacob Trouba signs for $8 Mil I would think that his camp would use that at a minimum. I could be wrong, though. Maybe he takes a team-friendly discount? He'll probably sign after Pietrangelo so it will be interesting to see where his AAV comes in first.

3.) No way Buffalo does that trade. As I've found out through my feeble attempts to "trade for Eichel." You're going to need to do a lot better than that. Buffalo needs at least one elite center prospect. Jost has potential but I think his lack of production worries some teams as to how high his ceiling actually is.

Once again, I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on this! I also enjoyed the ending "That's business baby!"
