Description

I'm sure the trade will be controversial, as Risto is a very polarizing player. To me, he's a solid top 4 defenseman who's been playing over his head for damn near his entire time in Buffalo. I've read that Vegas has shown interest in getting a top 4 righty, and Tuch was underwhelming last year. Maybe it would need a pick or prospect added, but that's a starting point.

Granlund had a down year last season and is only 28, so I figure that he could go for a one year deal to prove that he still has it as a player and is worth a pricey longer term deal. He'll be a buffer 2C until one of Mittelstadt or Cozens is ready.

This is like those Kapanen for Larsson trades.. but much bigger "good player for **** player" difference..

To me, Ristolainen is better than Larsson and Kapanen is arguably better than Tuch (although that one is close in my opinion). I think Buffalo might have to add in this to account for the difference in contract length, but I think their value is similar.

Where do you see the difference?

Well firstly for me Risto is just as bad as Larsson and wouldnt trade for either of them with gun to my head.. but Tuch is just much better player.. I dont get what value Risto has. He is bad.. maybe offensive value of some sorts.. I think BUF adds 2nd to Risto for Tuch.
