Call me crazy but I actually think Risto to the Habs wouldn't be a horrible thing.

He is a young enough player that under the right mentor (enter shea weber) could still become a very good top 4 dman, whether he actually has top pairing potential left I dont know but I'd take a gamble on the guy.

Question of capspace, but Byron is a solid bottom six winger who can play on the 2nd line easily. He can play on the right side and could be on the 2nd line as a RW

Yeah I think Ristolainen would actually be a good fit for the Habs, Petry and Weber are soon to be 33 and 35 and Weber gets hurt a fair bit, Risto would be some nice insurance and could let the Habs deal Petry for a nice return which they totally should do.
