I would think that is an easy no from LA.

Bracco has very little value, if any. So, essentially that trade is Johnsson + 2nd for Roy + 3rd.

I think your RFA numbers are quite off.

Clifford gets more than that on a three year deal.

Robertson will not be on the 4th line if he makes the team.

it would be just johnsson and bracco for roy. he resigned clifford so the picks would have to switch anyways. not fair value but the leafs should keep johnsson becausehes probably the most valuable of the 3 guys on his tier.

I used to think the same thing... then kappy started chucking knucks. Also got better with his puck possession. Toronto has an abundance of LHW to take mangos place.

LA passes on this for sure.

kappy had a low key really bad season. he was one of the worst forwards on the leafs based off evolving wilds stuff and it makes sense. he was bad defensively this year and hes not great offensively besides his ability to get a ton of breakaways. I still believe Johnsson can put up 60-70 points beside Matthews and Nylander, the three of them were the 4th or 5th best line in the nhl when they have been together. Because of the injuries Johnsson has the lowest trade value and kapanen has the highest trade value despite not being that great. Kerfoot should honestly be moved if they dont trust him at center even though I think hes a good 3c. there are so many good, cheap options like Jankowski, Cousins or Larsson who will all be cheaper. hopefully Engvall will be ready to step up in a year or two but there is also a posibilty that they draft a replacement or pick up a good c prospect.

With Hyman and Mikheyev's contracts up in the air I would much rather keep johnsson who is cost controlled and theres a very good argument that he is the best of the 4 they have right now (hyman, soup and engvall) when healthy.
