Description
People will love...People will hate.
I have seen numerous posts with OS for Cirelli.
This helps TB out with a package of a couple younger skilled players in lower salary bracket, buying them time before their next contracts, as well as a couple picks.
I am not saying Tampa would not possibly receive some crazy trade offer from a team for Cirelli that bests this one.
This is probably the value package that I estimate that Jarmo would make to trade for him, given Tampa's current situation. Further, if offer sheet does come in, this would give Tampa an option to trade him and not lose him for just the 2 picks at that contact value or have to pay someone else to dump salary in a pinch to meet the OS deadline.

Cirelli would get the same bridge deal contract (salary & term) as Dubois.
They both have similar scoring numbers (Dubois .67 pts per game, Cirelli .58 pts per game).

CBJ
  1. Cirelli, Anthony [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
TB risks losing Cirelli to OS, up to $6.3M value would return only a 1st & 3rd pick, and they would probably have to pay to unload a cap dump in Killorn, Johnson or Gourde just to open enough cap space to keep him.
TBL
  1. Anderson, Josh
  2. Texier, Alexandre
  3. 2020 5th round pick (CBJ)
  4. 2021 1st round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
Jackets lack the 3rd round pick to OS Cirelli. This package has value in Texier, who is about a year or two away from being full time 2C ready. Anderson, the 1st in 2021, and a lower round pick for additonal value

I don’t hate it but Texier is a bit rich for a guy that is not proven. Cirelli may be good but he has no track record of production without elite players.

I wouldn’t move both Texier and a 1st for him. One or the other maybe. Tbh I don’t see Cirelli adding anything more then what Grigorenko or Texier could do as the 2nd line center tbh.

Harry id give ya for a 5th.
Kukan is weird I wouldn’t give him away for anything less than a 2nd (a huge overpay) because we don’t know what we have in him. Doesn’t play enough. Too many d above him. Shows flashes of brilliance but not consistent.

And Nutivaara is a young d left shot 2 way d man who can log top 4 mins. Probably worth second and a prospect.

In actuality I would rather keep Tex and see what we have in him, (also can’t wait to see what we have in Grigorenko & Foudy too). I just thought I would see what the team looked like with Cirelli via trade since we can’t OS him.
PS...I Totally agree it probably is an overpay with that package.
