Description
Premise - Lose play in to Jets but luckily win Lafreniere
Treliving dismantles younger core to switch things up
Offer sheet Barzal to be the new 1C
Also draft Rossi at 8th overall if he's still there

Must be a glitch but the Flames 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 1st's go to the NYI, but still have BUF and PHI 1st's for 2021, and two 2nd's in 2022 after picking Laf and Rossi in 2020 so the prospect pool should be able to handle not having a 1st rounder in 2023 and 2024.

Lots of cap flexibility too, could even take a run at Lehner.

ED protection list:

F - Barzal, Tkachuk, Lindholm, Mangiapane, Backlund, Anderson, ????? (have to choose between Dube & Thompson), the whole 3rd line is expansion exempt.
D - Giordano, Andersson, Montour
G - ????? (Probably Rittich)

Columbus can’t afford that. They decline easily.

Would be Iffy if the Islanders match that. I think they have to. New Arena opening up in 2021, team too far along to wait for a rebuild. It would hurt.

The Monahan trade is garbage for Calgary, Both Philly and Columbus decline. And fat chance of Rossi falling to #8 either Detroit or Ottawa take him at #4 or #5 respectivelly.

It’s bad for Buffalo.. 8th overall and probably another non playoff pick.
