Value for Mantha isn't great, 2 RFAs the the Habs can't sign, Poehling and a pick in the 2nd half of a shallow 1st round.
That 1st would need to be unprotected to start with.

Mantha NOT getting traded BUT..for fun..THE DEAL would be for unprotected 1st rd pick ...if need protection in 2021 then only top 2 or 3 protected then FULL UNPROTECTION in 2022 & its wings choice which year to accept

I'm not gonna lie, I really liked Poehling a year ago. He had a great WC and a great game against the leafs.
But his sour attitude to start the season and his inability to crack the lineup over Weal and Weise is frustrating me. Maybe Claude Julien is just prioritising the wrong asset.
That being said, Poehling could very likely be traded this summer if he shows no promise here.

Will Butcher is 5'10". We have enough defense incapable of clearing the slot and the front of the net. Mete, Fleury, Kulak. Enough. I wish we'd get some damn size at the back.
