Easy no from the Kings. Add a 1st round pick (even though you don't have one), and it's still no.

I guess it's a rule that Bjugstad and McCann have to be traded together? LOL

Easy No from the Hawks. No interest in either of those pieces. Would prefer Crawford.

Let's think about this for a second....

1) The Kings, like the Senators are probably going to get bribed left and right to take on garbage contracts and make no mistake, they will take some.

2) While the Kings are going to unleash some serious prospects on the league, they are probably not going to be sniffing the playoffs for another four years or so, so they have time to keep stinking it up and collecting futures.

3) While I agree how bad the Johnson one is, financially-speaking, he's far from the worst contract that teams are going to try an put off on teams.

4) The Kings need to fill out their defense, specifically on the left side.

If the Pens offered the Kings a good middle-level prospect, which Bjorqkvist is, and a 1st rounder they'd be stupid to say no. Taking $3.25M for the next three years has no real bearing on them either financially or playoff-wise. So a first and a nice prospect? Again, they'd be stupid.

That said, the way this trade proposed the Pens would need to retain salary on this, maybe 50%.

According to reports the Hawks do in-fact have interest in Murray, so...
