  1. Gostisbehere, Shayne
Additional Details:
PHI wants his salary out as their tight in cap. He's done in PHI and has a high cap hit. Barely played towards end of season and was in the press box most of the entirety of PHI playoff run. A 3rd is a lot for a cap dump.

I know some smarty pants is going to say he's worth more. Why didn't he play in the playoffs then?
PHI
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (EDM)
4.
EDM
  1. 2021 5th round pick (BUF)
NJD
  1. Kassian, Zack
Additional Details:
Hughes and their young core is going to need protection. They don't have that. Kassian is gritty and will protect any teamate. He's fast and produced on 97's wing. For a 5th that's not much for 4 years of protection. His cap hit is large but NJD can pay it.

EDM
  1. 2022 7th round pick (OTT)
OTT
  1. Russell, Kris
  2. 2022 5th round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
Still a good D-man who can play and proviude leadership to the young core. One year at $4,000,000 OTT can afford. An easy way to upgrade a pick for taking on cash that they can take.
6.
EDM
  1. 2021 4th round pick (MIN)
MIN
  1. Chiasson, Alex
Additional Details:
A player who can grind and provide help at 5v5 and on the PP infront of the net. A 4th pick is also cheap in aquiring a player like him for 1 year.
7.
EDM
  1. 2022 5th round pick (LAK)
LAK
  1. Khaira, Jujhar
Additional Details:
Big player who plays a gritty game can help LA and their incoming youth. Not much given up to aquire him and his low cap.

Winnipeg would require Bear and 15oa along with Nuge to even consider that. MTL probably declines as well, they don’t really need D. But idk what Montreal actually needs every Habs fan says something different lol, the right thing for the Habs to do is literally nothing, let their guys develop

He didn’t play more bc AV doesn’t like fun offensive toys especially when it comes to defense. He would rather ice guys like Hagg and Braun who are defensively sound but can’t get the puck out of their own zone to save their life.

I think it's more about him and Braun struggled to play together than it is that AV didn't like his offensive upside. If that was the case he probably wouldn't have used sanheim-myers so much even though they struggled vs the Islanders

Edit: I still think they make this trade though
