Additional Details:
The Wild are going for a major culture change right now, clearly Guerin isn't too happy with their team. A guy like Guerin and a team like Minnesota, I think, would appreciate a physical leader who can still put up some goals. The price is an estimate; I'm not sure what teams would be paying for a 7 million dollar man like Lee right now.
MIN
  1. Lee, Anders
Additional Details:
After signing Hoffman, the flat cap (and roster size) would demand the sacrifice of our captain. I was debating between either Lee, Bailey or Eberle. Lee's performance these playoffs, and kind of in general, was a bit disappointing to me. Until his Game 5 heroics, so was Eberle, but his contract is a bargain for the point production. As for Bailey, his ability to sauce passes to Hoffman would be INDISPENSABLE on that line with Barzal. I see Hoffman as a 40+ goal scorer with 2 elite passers on his line.
2.
OTT
  1. Boychuk, Johnny
  2. 2021 3rd round pick (MIN)
Additional Details:
Pure cap move. JB still has some fight left in him, and we would use our 2-ish million space to take back an equally bad contract to put on LTIR. The Senators get a tough, shutdown defenseman for their back-end who can whip those kids into shape, and we get a contract that we can throw on LTIR to save us some space. Throw in that third we acquired from Minnesota as a sweetener to take the 6 million.

I have a confession to make: Until these playoffs, I didn't watch every Isles game. I DID watch them occasionally, but since Round 2 i've started watching every one; a trend I intend to continue starting next season. With the knowledge of actually WATCHING the team I love in hand, here's what I would do this offseason.

Ladd - LTIR. His knees are titanium, and he's getting old. I'd imagine he retires or gets buried on Robidas Island starting next season.

Kuhnhackl - If he takes a cheap deal, we can happily keep him around in the same healthy scratch type role we've had him in for the last few years. He's a solid guy and I like his play.

Hoffman - We NEED goal scoring. That was supposed to be Panarin, but we were unable to acquire him. A guy like Hoffman would thrive on a line with 2 elite passers, and if he takes a $8,000,000-ish deal, we can have him be the bulwark of the team. I'd imagine Trotz can turn his already two-way game into an even more solidly defensive guy while being our dedicated first-line sniper. I don't care how you get him here, Lou, but get him here.

(edit: spacing)

Tbh I think Pulock gets 6.5 million. He is your best defenceman and he will be paid as such.

Don't you think you could get a 1st for Lee though? I feel like someone would give it to you.

I don't think the Isles would trade Lee he brings 25-30 goals per season and is the captain of the team. They not foing to let go of two captains in a three year span
