Don't trade for what you don't need, dammit.

Offer sheet Cernak to upgrade RD. Baertchi/Hoglander compete in camp for the 3rd line LW position. Ehn comes in to replace Beagle in the PKing center department. Dump Eriksson as cheaply as possible. Let young D (Juolevi, Rafferty, Rathbone) compete for 3rd pairing spots and Benn who plays both sides will fill in the gaps.

Almost 28 million cap space to sign pettersson, hughes, demko (if he isn't traded) and 7 other mid-bottom roster players, which is better than other situations I've seen here.

Our injury depth with this roster is non-existent, it would be awful.

The cost to flip Eriksson is the 1st alone and we'd rather keep Ehn, than have Beagle. So, what this comes down to, is that DiPietro alone, is not worth a 2nd, as he's still a project himself.

We don't need to get any assets back in an Eriksson trade. Just dump him for a 7th or future consideration and the 1st rounder can be downgraded to a 2nd, which is much better.

Retaining that much on Beagle and Roussel is less than ideal. It's not even worth moving them then.

I doubt Stetcher is coming back. He's too expensive to keep on the 3rd pair unless he re-signs lower than his QO, which definitely could happen.

Toffoli is not really necessary if you want to be really cap conscious.
