Don’t forget that Detroit has 19 million in cap space with just Mantha and Bertuzzi to sign. We won’t pay anything to dump Nielsen right now

What an awful, awful idea. This team isn't "competitive". It's still terrible, but now you've blocked a bunch of space for advancement from the young players who might one day make up not terrible.
