Chicago declines.

Risto doesn’t make sense at all for them (value doesn’t matter)
Mittelstadt makes sense but very low value
Asplund is decent
Johnson is the only real value to start here.
And your pick is protected to the point where if it’s a good pick Chicago doesn’t get it??

They’d decline.

Take out risto and asplund and make it a quality prospect (I know Cozens isn’t gonna be moved so I won’t say him) and they’d probably consider it more

It's been said multiple times on here but a kane to buffalo trade starts with quinn or cozens.

Which is why it wouldn’t make sense for Buffalo. Too much cap, and not enough high end prospects to begin with and Buf is left with nothing in 2/3 years when Kanes eventual decline comes. Love the player, but the Hawks can (and honestly gladly will) hold onto him for the remainder of at least his contract, if not career
