Danault's contract expires after this season...not sure what the point here would be for Columbus.

If Danault comes with a decent extension and you take that 2nd off, its ok(ish)

Yes true, the assumption here is both teams have contract status, ie Habs signed danault and agree in terms for a Dubois extension in the summer

Ok, but keep in mind he's asked for a trade. So I don't see CLB getting a 'top10' Center back. Unless he's 33y.o.+
