Nothing would obviously be done until he's heatlhy...but even then at $10 million/year for a player on the decline of his career, I can't see this making sense for WPG. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Toews but I think it would ultimately hurt WPG rather than help.

🤔 laine AND vesalainen. I wouldnt do laine 1 for 1. Laines a 22 year old elite goal scorer for less money (hes not getting 10.5) while toews is a declining 32 year old center at 10.5x3. Granted C is more important than W but this is too much.

Let's find out if/when he's coming back first.

If he comes back sometime soon and is his old self (no guarantees), I'd want something like Copp, Samberg and a future 1st.

Not an amazing return, but realistic for his age, contract and decling defensive play
