Description

We all know that COL's lack of goalie depth cost them dearly last season (especially in the series against the Stars). This coming deadline though, we could maybe see them attempt to address that if they want to compete for the cup. A good option for them maybe could be Thomas Greiss; pretty reliable 1B when needed. The transaction is something I rounded off from a "The Hockey Writers" article on the same topic.

I’d absolutely love this, personally I think it’s a good trade. Graves isn’t playing amazing and Greiss could be an amazing pick up.
Not to mention TWO German goalies.

I don't think Greiss is the goalie you'd want from the Wings. Greiss hasn't won a game yet and Bernier has both of Detroit's wins. Bernier is in the final season of his contract so if it doesn't work out you're not stuck with him. Neither of Detroit's goalies are worth Graves 1 for 1.

Bernier is the one I'd be looking at if any from Detroit and neither gets Graves straight up even with the smidge of retention.
