You would be paying a 4th round pick to remove $2.4 million from your books.
For a team that has been making daily transactions to keep under cap, that is a good swap.

They cannot. There are no buyouts in middle of season. That can only be done in short window during off-season, but that is only a factor for 2021-22 (and 2022-23 if buyout option is used). His 2020-21 salary cannot change unless he is traded (or terminated, but they already passed on that option).

Then you can keep him. A 4th isn’t enticing enough either. You gotta detach yourself from your 1st round pick because if ADA is traded, it won’t be yours
