In this scenario, Ingram would be the backup.

Pitlick would likely be in the lineup (so no need for Bozak), along with one of Davies or Carrier.

Saros won’t get that term. I could see him signing a 1 year deal or a max of 4 years (anywhere in that range), but 6 is way too high when they have Ingram and Askarov sitting in the wings.

And I’d be hesitant to give that deal to Fabbro right now — I think he’ll get a bridge deal, something in the range of $1.75-$2.5m for 2-3 years.

I feel like Bozak is just a signing that represents that GMs almost always make an addition in the offseason. Pretty rare to go through a year with no change, especially given how bad NSH has been.

I think you’ll see that change through trades more this offseason (or sooner), but 1-2 moves in FA aren’t out of the question — more just highlighting that NSH has quite a few NHL-ready prospects that should see ice time next season.

I've heard that before tears of joy

(not that I disagree, just that I can't imagine the current management will ever actually make good on their promise of giving prospects a shot)
