Description
There isn’t one. I’m sick of seeing posters say, “ohhh if he stays off social media,” or, “if he gets to a more conservative state it’ll be fine.” Stop. You sound ridiculously foolish.

The rangers knew he was active on social media, they didn’t care. Maybe they did, but not enough to not sign him. Not enough to bench him. They knew his views on politics. They didn’t care. They signed him anyway. There are tons and tons and tons of conservatives in the NHL. No one cares.

Then something happened. They waived him and said he would never play for their organization again. Anyone think their GM was like, “wait, tony D is a republican? Put him on waivers!!!” Get out of here.

SKA is my bet.

Seeing the Sharks scared me for a sec lmao. He and Kane in the same locker room is just suicide.

    Kane might legitimately kill him.

While I agree he eventually ends up over seas, the more I’ve thought about it I can see a team trading for him depending on the sweetener NYR adds. He’s already cleared waivers so the team could just send him down and not play him there either. If he doesn’t report contract terminated. If he does the team buys him out in the offseason for minimal cap hit against. But like I said it depends on the sweetener or if it allows a team to get rid of a really bad contract.

So then what’s the benefit for the rangers?
