Engvall is a better player. Crouse really isn't good offensively and is garbage defensively. Engvall isn't much worse offensively but waaaayyyyy better defensively. Crouse is just big and has draft pedigree.

I think that is arguable. Crouse has struggled in the desert and I think a new start somewhere else would be great for him. A spot along side Tavares and Nylander would help both him and the two of them because his physicality is what that line needs.

what is even the infatuation with Crouse. He would basically be just a depth guy who provides nothing. If im bringing in a forward Im looking for an upgrade on what we have not a downgrade or just another body. Yes he was alright last year but he took a giant step back

I'd rather give Robertson a real try with Tavares and Nylander than trade for Crouse.

He's playing more minutes than he ever has (over 14min/game). Dvorak is one of the players he's played with the most. He's not playing 6min/night with scrubs.

No offence, but Crouse is almost the exact opposite of what Leafs are looking for in a player (other being decently physical). Pretty well his entire career he's been a possession black hole.

I'm confident he's low on the list of guys Dubas (and the analytics crew) would be looking at.
