Description
First things first, I think that MB goes hard at the deadline to save his job. Second, these trades must be made a week apart from each other so that we can have time to adapt to the changes, and so we don’t lose everyone at once.

Also, any other picks that might be necessary could be added or upgraded. Discuss in the chat what you think montreal would have to send.
Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Hall, Taylor ($4,000,000 retained)
BUF
  1. Brook, Josh
  2. Lehkonen, Artturi
  3. Weal, Jordan
  4. 2021 2nd round pick (TBL)
  5. 2021 3rd round pick (CHI)
Additional Details:
Ok, hear me out. Hall without retaining picks up a pick, a prospect, and cap dump. Retaining half is expensive, so another pick is added, and the two players are not cap dumps. Lek is a good player who is an RFA, and weal is a loner that buffalo can flip to another team for whatever they want.
2.
NSH
  1. Chiarot, Ben
  2. Mete, Victor
  3. Poehling, Ryan
  4. 2021 1st round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
This one feels a little more on point. Nasville wants players that can play now. Chiarot will be fine for next year, mete is a proven 3rd pair, and Poehling is a good prospect. Add a first, and this trade looks good.
3.
MTL
  1. Glendening, Luke ($900,000 retained)
DET
  1. Armia, Joel
Additional Details:
Okay. This one can really be anywhere, but I think this makes the most sense. Montreal needs a center that can take faceoffs. Glending is the best in the league, so it seems natural to try to get him. Sending armia back seems like a cap dump, but I don’t think detroit will look at it like that. They can flip armia to another Canadian team, which would not be great for us, but they could so that armia doesn’t have to quarantine. Armia is a rental for this year, and I don’t think we can afford him next year. He can easily play top 9, and has proven to be a very good penalty killer as well.

For the Sabres, Lehkonen and Weal are nothing but cap dumps, all things considered. It's an easy no. Handful of teams are going to top this offer, easily.

Red Wings say no. It's a 3rd for Glenny.

Looks like you gave up just as much to acquire the 1.5 year of good Ekblom compared to the very meh 2 goals this season Hall

Well Yzerman said he is looking for picks and prospects at the TDL. Armia isn't a center he is a bottom 6 winger and if you look at Detroit's roster you will see they don't need more of those. Yes Glendening is a 3rd or 4th line center but he and Larkin are the only 2 centers Detroit has. Glendening plays a majority of his minutes in defensive situations and he doesn't mind that at all. With Armia being a UFA he really has very little if any value from Detroits's point of view. Being able to flip a player isn't really a selling point. In this situation Detroit would have to hope someone wants and is willing to pay a certain price for Armia just so they can break even in a trade they have already made. Since this is a TDL move how does Detroit flip Armia since he is a UFA at the end of the season?

A 3rd round pick will get you Glendening with 50% retention and right now his remaining cap hit is $840,000.
