Description
Basically dump 10M by paying Seattle to take Varlamov, and then recouping that asset by trading one of Eberle/Bailey - I think Ebs is the more likely one to go because he doesn't PK and our 1st PP is trash.

Vegas trade is actually with Seattle to take Varlamov in the expansion - couldn't figure out how to do that. Not sure who actually takes Ebs but I think we should be able to get at least a third for him - put a fourth just in case

Not to rain on your parade too hard, but it would take way more to get Seattle to take varlamov off the islanders hands. Considering there will be a good dozen starting goalies available who are on par or better than makes it a no brained to not take varlamov for just a 3rd. A 3rd is basically nothing in the expansion draft. It would probably take more than a 1st and 3rd to get them to take him.

Actually it wouldn’t cost anything, they can make him available in a trade. Its very likely he’ll be top 3 vezina voting this season and his contract is very reasonable

Don’t trade for Garland, keep Varly and Eberle and try to get Seattle to take Bailey. Then sign a guy like Duclair or Janmark in the off-season.

    Lee-Barzal-Eberle
Beau-Pagaeu- Wahlstrom- The real 2nd line
    Dal Colle- Nelson- Duclair/ Janmark
    Martin- Casey- Clutter
