Winnipeg needs Copp far more than an expensive bottom pairing rental LD.

Copp is on pace for 63 points over an 82 game season this year. He almost certainly is gone from Winnipeg due to his past arbitration but the Jets will likely do one of two things:

a) expose Copp in the expansion draft so that young players are not taken

b) protect Copp then use him as part of a package for a legit Top 4 Dman

So the Kings trade Vegas' 2021 fourth rounder for the Pens 2023 fourth rounder for a guy every team passed on waivers? Where is the logic of the Kings making this trade for a guy they could have had for free?
