just here me out its most likely that franky will not be in playoff, so what im thinking is we trade him for samsonov in the offseason so we get some young goaltending even tho we werner jojo and miska samsonov with the right team can be a franchise goalie.

say we do resign dub for one more season or someone else that detail is not important but say we have samsonov and dub play every other game as backup say we dont play grub as much and if he gets hurt bam.

please no hate just a thought if you have other ideas put them down below i would like to take about them

Yeah it will cost a LOT more than that. Sammy will be a top 5 goalie in his prime. He's young and cheap.

It's a pretty bad underpay.

I would think Samsonov is pretty much untouchable right now to WSH, and a 30 year old goalie that hasn't played all season due to injury + 3rd is not even in the ballpark.

WSH would probably be asking for a top prospect if they trade Samsonov -- someone like Newhook+ honestly. Not saying COL would consider that, but I think that's how they'd value Samsonov.

We wouldn’t move Samsonov for Francouz. We’d move him if we were getting a young RHD or a promising forward back. We’d also do it before the expansion draft so we can protect Vanecek.
