If I was Carolina, I would keep the young cheap players over the 11 million dollar winger

Don’t think Canes would get close to entertaining that. Cap hits matter, especially in a flat cap era for next few years. And especially when the guy making $11M isn’t a top 5 player in the league.

Marner makes sense after signing bonus day for a team that cars about $s over cap as after his signing bonus he's owed I believe less than 4 mil annually for 4 years.

They being said Carolina seems quite willing to spend on their players. Just apparently not on management
