Well this is all blown up with the Buyout News!

So pretty surprised by the statement in Russo's article that said that, "One other option that is complicated? Find a team that’s willing to acquire Parise, trade a significant asset to take him and then have that team buy him out. Parise gets to start fresh elsewhere as a free agent and the Wild at least get out of his $7.538 million cap hit. However, a league source said that would not get the Wild out of potential cap recapture penalties if he retires before the end of 2024-25. The cap recapture would be applicable in the context of any trade for any reason, the source said." So I don't see any reason to trade Parise to another team with hopes of him being bought out. Best case scenario is the Wild get another year or two out of him in a bottom six role and maybe find a way to get him on LTIR for the last two seasons?

Signed KK and Fiala with the Evolving-Hockey length/cap hit/probabilities

Traded Dumba since that really needs to happen to free up cap and not lose him for nothing

Hope the Wild can pay Seattle with Rask + picks but we'll see.

Also you forgot to add our rookies to the lineup. I’ll bet Boldy and Addison are on the roster opening night, maybe even Rossi.

Nope I did that on purpose. I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of Boldy, Rossi, Addison make the team out of camp, but filled out the team without them if they don't.
